About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
This appears to have a replacement body. It includes an overdrive. This looks like a good price. There have been modifications on the front end. The grill looks M-38ish, too. The windshield from a M-38.
“Im selling my 1947 Willys jeep. It has a buick v-6,overdrive,complete soft top with doors, tow bar. $3500.00 call”
This still needs some work, but looks like it has a good foundation.
“This is a 1946 Willys model CJ2A universal.
It starts (with a jump) and runs good. The body is solid now but it has had some minor rust repair. This would make an easy restoration to get the body back to stock or leave it and drive it the way it is.
It has the correct wheels and NDT tires which are in excellent shape.
It DOES need some work though. It has no brakes, it should be rewired (relatively cheap and easy to replace the complete harness), needs battery plus other minor stuff.
I hold a clear and current transferable ownership in my name.
A little negotiable, but only in person.
Call during daylight hours only.
check the zip for location.
No text.

Put back on the original wheels, and this would look pretty stock.
“A true barn find! I got this off the original owners granddaughter. Was always stored indoors. It runs and drives great. Have the original wheels too. All new paint, weather stripping, gauges, 12V electrical, tires and wheels new, 134 motor. Everyone loves this from kids to the old guys. A real classic. $8,000.00 OBO May trade for 2000 or newer HD Fatboy”
(08/08/2012) This has a fiberglass body. I don’t understand chopping the windshield though.
“So I always wanted to build a Crawler / Trail Jeep using the best Willys stuff and a few choice Chevy parts. I started with an M38A1 1/4 ton military Jeep frame. I chose this frame because its boxed and shackle reversed from the factory for the best offroad performance. I retained the original 5:38 ratio gears in the model 44 rear/model 25 front axels. They are mounted with a full spring over axel system, including adjustable anti-wrap link on diff. A Saginaw power steering system helps turn the Goodyear MTR military surplus HUMVEE Tires, 37 inch units, the latest issued. the rear boasts 11 inch drum brakes while the fronts are stock.
For the running gear I wanted the best horsepower to weight ratio I could fit without a shoehorn. I chose a 1988 Chevy 4.3 roller motor, rebuilt and bored 020. over. With a Quadrajet 4bbl, 65,000 volt HEI for serious spark, and 3/8 flange Sanderson headers, plus a 110 amp hi-output GM 1 wire alternator, this motor is STRONG and RELIABLE.!!!!! Thats also why I used a GM SM465 (super low first gear AND fully synchronised!!) a great unit used in 1 Ton trucks thru-out the 1980s
4 speed truck trans, complete with GM hydraulic clutch set up–no binding, ever!! Its connected via a NOVAK adapter tgo the all metal, all gear driven 1971 model 18 trandfer case. this unit can be rebuilt with WAY Low gears and is twin sticked and interlock pellet altered to provide 2 WHEEL LOW. GREAT on tight trails!! The dual exhaust is fully welded .
The body tub is fiberglass, the nose all steel. The windshield has been chopped 2 inches. Sunpro guages, removeable steering wheel , racing bucket seats.”
(09/10/2012) This looks pretty good, but it needs a speedometer at the very least. The hood appears dented, too.
“NEW PRICE – $4999 OBO. 1953 Jeep Willys CJ-3B with clear BLUE Title and Texas Antique Registration
This has been a project of mine and has had a long list of upgrades listed below. It is not a full restoration, but more a get running well and slow down the deterioration type of job. The jeep starts every time even after sitting for over a month. Everything on it works except the speedometer which is missing in the pics. I am willing to entertain any offers or trades with the exception of boats or bikes, This Jeep is perfect for the ranch / deer lease / hunting, and I am not in a rush to sell. Delivery within reason can be negotiated.

(09/27/2012) This appears in good shape. It might be a good value.
“So here it goes. I have decided to put my beloved ’52 Willys up for sale. I have 3 little kids and I just don’t have the time needed to get it perfect. My game plan has been to replace and fix parts when I can, and it has most of the hard work done. I have not started it. I was going to get it 95% there (for cost reasons) and have it towed to a Willy’s expert to get the engine dialed in perfect since I am not a mechanic. It has the original L134 4 cyl engine, T90 transmition, Dana 18 transfer case, everything else is original 6V.
Here is a list of the new parts I have added (at quite a cost I might add!!)
-new distributor cap, points, plugs, wires
-new Oil Filter canister (that was missing on most of these Jeeps)
-new belt
-new hoses
-new gas tank
-new gas line
-new fuel sender unit
Changed all of the oil and fluids”
