Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. There are lots of artichokes grown in the Salinas Valley, hence it would not surprise me if some business called itself “Mr. Artichoke”.
“1943 WW2 WILLYS JEEP, 3 SPPED 2&4 WHEEL DRIVE HIGH & LOW, WOULD MAKE A GREAT PROJECT, THE PREVIOUS OWNER WAS MR ARTICHOKE $1200.

“I have two willys cj2a 4×4 for sale. Both run and are in decent shape, the 1 is an olive drab color and has a roll cage, winch but no top for it or back seat. The other one is green with a home made cab on it, the cab is made of marine plywood and is built solid great for hunting it also has air shocks in the rear. asking 5,000 for both OBO. The olive drab one had all around disc brakes rebuilt, work great. The two jeeps have little 4 cylinders in them 3/speeds.”
The paint job isn’t much, but it does appear to have a rear PTO.

This looks a bit rough for the price.
“Jeep f-head engine runs strong. All new brakes, roll bar, and full cab. Located 30 miles north of Tucson).”
No pics provided, but is described as being ‘in pretty good condition’.

“This is a 1946 willys jeep in peices. It includes the the body parts the frame the axels and other disasembled parts. I will also throw in the engine parts if the price is right. Pieces are in good shape excempt for some of the running gear. Contact me for better discription on certain parts. I have a bonded title for the vehicle”
“It is complete except for the glass”, claims the seller. Looks like it is missing have the rear body to me.

(03/01/2012) I can’t tell if the paint is uneven or some type of Cammo.
“Jeep is clean for the year only has little rust on the floor board. Has the flathead in it, everything works on it even the heat. Just put a soft top and Goodyear mtrs on it.”
This looks like a solid body.
