This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1953 willys jeep cj3a lifted, 35 inch ground hawgs with 2 full size spares, 350 chevy small block with headers, torquer intake, mild cam, and 461 original big valved fuelie heads, Dana 44’s front and rear with 4.27 gears and disc brakes up front custom full roll cage, needs tlc and some body work, starts runs and drives, have reciepts $4,000 o.b.o.”

(05/29/2012) Engine newly rebuilt.
“This Willys has a freshly rebuilt Chevy 283 V8 in it that runs great. It has Dana 41 and 25 axles under it with 5.38 gears. This jeep also comes with a very hard to find arctic top hard top. It also has a brand new halogen headlight conversion installed in it, and a new battery. Also has some nice bucket seats with 4 point harnesses. New distributor cap, points, sparkplugs, and wires. “For sale is a 1954 Willys Jeep model CJ-3B. Newly rebuilt F-head 134 motor, has not even been installed. The body is straight and has VERY little surface rust. Great restoration project.

Mike let me know that the 2012 Great American Jeep Rally takes place in Connecticut September 15th, 2012.

Frank found himself a rare M-38CDN and offered to share some photos.
He writes, “Just wanted to let you know that after looking for one of these since 1979/80, I finally aquired an m-38. a candian one at that! I’m quite excited about that, because only 2135 were ever built between feb and nov ’52. I found it on kijiji.ca in Fort st. john,BC. that’s 700km (460 mi.) from my place in Edmonton. I Drove out with my trailer to look at it fully prepared to return empty if the jeep was a rust bucket. It would have been a 1000 mi trip for nothing. Needless to say, it was not a wasted trip. I’s nearly all there, but the data plates and gauges got sand blasted by a previous owner; not the guy i bought it from. It’s 24 volt still and has almost all the stuff needed for fording. I’m sending a few shots of the trip and the jeep at home. I’ll keep you up to date on the resto. I’m looking to make it as stock as possible but also use it as a driver.”
