Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “56 Willys wagon. 2 wheel drive. Restored 11 years ago. Beautiful! Runs. 40,000 miles. Some new chrome. Also have a 1963 Willys for parts. $7,500 firm.”

This has some Terra Low gears in the TC. It is listed as a 2A, but may be a 3A.
“F. Head engine- smokes. CJ5 Transfer case with Tera-Low. C J5 Rear End with Locker. Straight Body – no aparant rust. Bigger Brakes, needs Master cylindar. POWER steering. Cloth Top .”

This appears to be in good shape.
“For sale, 1942 GPW ford built military jeep. This jeep was re-bodied in the mid 90’s and has NO rust, the drive train is stock and works well. This vehicle comes with an after-market soft top with doors, a tow bar, roll bar, spare tire mount and more. The registration is up to date and uses the old style black and yellow lisence plates. Only serious need contact, cash sale, no trades.”

“I have a 1946 willys army jeep its an all steel body in excellent condition for its age would be the perfect mud truck or rock crawler, for the most part its all there and just needs to be put together a great winter project. I have a propane powered 4.3l Chevy vortech motor with all the advance adapters parts needed to mount a willys transmission, also I have headers an edlebrock intake and a pulling cam incase you want to put a carb on the motor. I have a willys trans and transfer case out of a newer willys wagon. It has jeep yj springs and is sprung over scout Dana 44 axles with 4.10 and warn manual locking hubs. The right side knuckle is machined down for cross over steering and cost several hundred alone. Has pedals and power brake booster from a yj and a gm power steering box. It has 35 inch tires in the pics just to give you an idea how tall it is I also have another set of tires and wheels you can have. I have a very rare willys jeep pickup cap and doors that also go with the jeep, I also have two brand new best top seats the windshield and all the lights gauges and covers. If you have any questions please let me know I have way to many projects and have to let some go. I have a lot invested into this thing and I’m a little flexable on the price but please no low ballers. I know there is more I’m missing but whatever I have is all yours. I will consider trades for a bobber, a chopper, or a vw golf mk4 I dont mind doing work on them or cash up/down. Thank you for looking.”

(01/30/2012) This looks solid, though the bottom of the body has been replaced with diamond plating.
“Original 4 cylinder flat head with brass radiator. New gas tank, leaf springs, wiring (converted to 12V), new exhaust and battery. Plow, heater, winch, high beams, blinkers. 1974 hard top with removable doors. Rear seat, front seats recovered. Military tires with spare. Diamond plate on bottom of body. Has been licensed and inspected and used on road. Owned for 20 years.”

The paint on this one is unusual.
“i have a 1954 Jeep Willys. it has a SBF V8 289 swap, 3 spd trans, the twin stick tansfercase with PTO lever. this thing has had tons of money put into it and all it need to be put on the road is a new radiator. it has really great treaded BFG Mud Terrain tires, upgraded interior, headers, holly carb, MSD Ignition System, newer soft top and doors, spare tire swing, winch mount, windshield mounted KC’s, tow bar, upgraded headlights and LED turn signals, this beast runs great and is fun but need to pay bills so it has to go. $3800 OBO OR POSSIBLE TRADE. ”
