Here’s another CJ-5 that’s got the Jeepster Commando grille.

“1957 Willys CJ Jeep. Oldy but goody. Original 4 cyl engine -runs good. Electric fuel pump. 12v alternator. May need a starter and a clutch before long. I have replaced the old split rims and put on radial tires. Also have replaced original lock outs with new Warn lock-outs. Use it as it is or would make a great project to restore or use for parts. Phone 308 three four 8 twenty-two 0 5.”

“Finding Virginia” Reaches Norway

Yes, the readers of “Finding Virginia” now span from the Northern reaches of Norway, thanks to Even, and to the Southern region of South Africa, thanks to Claus.  There are even a few books at points in between the two!

Even wrote to tell me he was sharing his copy of my book with a friend of his named Reider Haugen.  He added, “Reidar is among many Jeepers in Norway that keep himself updated with Ewillys every day  He is also one of the members of Flatfender Fellows here in Norway. I brought my sample of “Finding Virginia” for him to have a look as you see from the picture.

Reidar is almost done with his very nice Willys Utility Delivery with a GM engine and some Scout parts underneath.  This is going to be a nice daily driver next to his Willys Pickup Truck sporting a Volvo engine. Remember we are close to the Swedes . . .

In the middle you can see my Jeep Cj-7 Golden Eagle that I have owned for excactly 24 years today.

Now you know how far your book has spread around the world! We both wanted to thank you for the best webpage ever for us Jeep-enthusiasts

Thanks guys, I love the picture!

This DJ-3A was also mentioned in a cj2apage forum as well.

This picture was taken early this year by CTROADDOG and posted to FLICKR.

I’ve never seen diamond plating used to accent an FC quite like this.  Lots of large pics on eBay.

“RARE 1958 JEEP WILLYS ( FORWARD CONTROL ) FC-150 TRUCK. SINGLE CAB, 4 WHEEL DRIVE WITH LOCK OUT HUBS, DUMP BED, AND WINCH AND SNOW PLOW SET UP ( PLOW NOT INCLUDED ).

STARTS AND RUNS AND DRIVES, GREAT PARADE VEHICLE, NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR HIGHWAY SPEEDS, HAS 5:38:1 GEARS IN THE REAR.

STARTS UP AND SHIFTS FINE, CLUTCH IS GOOD. BODY WORK WAS DONE MANY YEARS AGO AND IS CONSIDERED AMATUER WORK, SAME AS THE PAINT, BUT LOOKS SWEET FROM 20 FEET.

OPERATING DUMP BED AND REAR WINCH, WOULD ALSO BE A GOOD FARM VEHICLE OR SOMETHING TO IMPROVE ON OR RESTORE AS YOU GO, AND TAKE TO SHOWS, I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE THE ONLY PERSON WITH A 1958 FC-150 JEEP. THERE WERE ONLY 2000 MADE, AND WHO KNOWS HOW MANY ARE LEFT??

THE PICTURES TELL THE STORY, I HAVE OVER 35 PICTURES INCLUDED IN THE SALE, PLEASE SEE ALL PICS UNDER THIS DESCRIPTION.

TRUCK WILL NEED A HEADLINER, ALL THE GLASS IS GOOD WITH THE EXEPTION OF THE PASSENGER SIDE WHICH HAS A CRACK.

MILEAGE STATES 7770, BUT NOT SURE IF IT HAS TURNED TO 107770, TRUE MILES ARE UNKNOWN. FRAME IS VERY STURDY AND SOLID, HAS HAD SOME FRAME SUPPORTS AND BOXING IN THE PAST.

MOTOR APPEARS TO BE ORIGINAL 134CI 4 CYLINDER, IT HAS A 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION, NOT SURE IF IT IS ORIGINAL OR NOT, BUT THEY DID MAKE SOME WITH 4 SPEEDS AND 3 SPEEDS.”
