About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

It runs and drives but the carb is out being rebuilt. The vehicle has civilian tires/rims and there are two spares (six total). The seats are not original. “They are right hand drive. (Can be converted) Other than that all other parts interchange. We carry a full line of replacement parts. This Jeep is equipped with a 2″ lift, 32″ tires, aluminum mag wheels, bucket wrap around contour seats, It has High/Low 4×4 & 4×2 Tranny & Transfer case. Soft Top & Doors. We have been completely thru this Jeep & found it to be in excellent mechanical condition. With No Rust. The engine will out perform even a 6 cylinder & even V-8’S in most any terrain. It has a throttle set for climbing the steepest grades with ease & no bouncing accelerator pedal. Diesel engine means long life, depenability & excellant braking desending the steepest of grades…..”
It appears that this could use a paint job, along with a was job.
“RARE!! 1957 Jeep FC170 4×4, Forward Control (Cab over) runs good, good body, no rust, just needs a wax job to shine! Has dump box & front winch. $5000”
Getting only the best of the best, the Ohio eWillys Bureau filed this report despite high winds, drenching rains, and hurricane-like end-of-the-world conditions that would prevent even the sturdiest postal delivery specialists from completing their rounds. As I look up at the clock, I see it’s midnight at the reunion, so many kudos to Bob for his beyond-the-call-of-duty images (Bob, just make sure to keep the camera dry!). Many Thanks!
Bob writes, “we’ve had violent thunderstorms down here for the Willys Reunion and the internet was down until now [editor’s note — the internet goes down?]. Here are 4 photos from today. We got here about 2 pm after driving through rain most of the way. The rain around 5-6 pm was like a typhon.
There seems to be about 40 jeeps here now of all stripes. I’ll send more images tomorrow. The green 3b with the Eugene spare tire cover is mine.”
Roberto Flores has an older illustration he’d like to share with us (thanks!). I managed to find a self-taken snapshot of myself, a handsome lad (well, that’s what mom always said) of 21 years, in a similar situation. I knew approximately where I was (in southeastern washington), but didn’t know exactly where I was, even with the help of the map and signs (pomerey, shown on the sign at the bottom, isn’t exactly a big town). So, I just tried driving with the early morning sun to my left so that I’d be heading south. Truth be told, I love being lost 🙂
“53 Willys CJ3B Runs and drives. This was sitting for a long time in Calif. before I acquired it. Rebuilt carb, fuel tank, and started. It needs lots of work, but should make a fun rig on the farm or for hunting. asking $2000.00 but offers considered.”
“Late 40’s Willys Jeep, complete with all original running gear. Motor and transmission stuck, needs new front floor boards. No rust in the back portion. Original 16″ wheels are included. Use for parts or restoration project. $500obo, or trade for guns? 509-721-0942”
There’s plenty of work left on this, but some nice attributes.
“This Willys was being restored by the previous owner, he had a V-8 rebuilt and installed (327 ci. I think)(no I cant see the #s on the block) painted it, and installed some aftermarket seats. The trans was out being rebuilt, and was stolen. The owner lost interest and parked it for years, and then decided to sell it. I purchased it with the intention of a full restoration, but a week later another one came up for sale I had previously tried to buy, so now I have 2 of them. I found a rebuilt trans, that also came with a transfer case. (they are not hooked together or installed) This willys also has a PTO winch with the shafts, but I was not willing to pay for the pto case that hooks to the transfer case, so that is missing, you can remove the winch and sell it, or the case sells for $250.00 to $300.00. I have not gone through all the boxes of parts (as nothing was reinstalled after painting) but the parts may or may not all be there. And the glass needs to be put back in, all the rubber appears to be good. The paint job is okay, but I was going to change the color while it was stripped down, as the repaint has some chips and scratches. The dribe shafts have just been gone through and have new u-joints. The motor is not locked, as I can turn the crank and get movement and has good compression.”
The price looks great on this. That said, many people don’t know that these were used during the war of 1959, a little known war pitting the Federalists vs. the Occupationists …
“This is a very cool Vintage Willy’s Jeep. These were used during the war. Willing to consider a trade for a motorcycle (NO dirt bikes, street legal only please!). Contact me more complete details on the Willy’s. It does need some TLC and general clean-up since it has not been driven much. Carburator and brakes need work, tires and body are in good condition.”
