About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(05/13/2015) It’s not perfectly restored, but looks good.
“This is an old Air Force Jeep! In great condition, has a very HISTORIC look! 3sp. We think it has a F4 Hurricane engine. This is a 1960 Willis Jeep! Call if you are interested.”
“Fully restored Military Willys. Restored with all NOS (new old stock) parts runs and drives excellent. Everything works and is functional. Also has two original rifle holders. New tires and canvas. Always stored inside. Rarely driven. Time to start a new project, looking for a possible trade for a Ford Model A pickup or a Model A 2 DR couple. NO OTHER TRADES CONSIDERED but ALL REASONABLE MONEY OFFERS CONSIDERED More pics on request.”
“This is a rare factory 6cyl 1950 Jeep Willy’s Jeepster standard with overdrive. It has been stripped to the metal, all there and Barn stored since the 1970’s. There is surface rust easily amenable and one identified small area of rot on the left rear quarter. It is a resto project. The engine and trans are work the asking price. It is not running, all motor trans dash etch is there.”
“1948 willys jeep turned platform swamp buggy on 38″ ground hawgs. pistons need rings.. it smokes but runs good. Wiring going from starter to battery needs to be replaced and 3 out of 4 axles need to be swapped (they are 48$ each and can be swapped without taking of the rim/tire.. 8 easy bolts). I don’t have time or money to play with it. I paid 3800 as is and have driven it around the property.. it does run good besides the smoke.”
This appears to be a dually with a variety of mods.
“1949 Willies Jeep Pickup. Original cab, custom pickup box with wood floor, 302 Ford engine, C6 trans, Chevy 1 ton rear axle, Mustang front suspension.”
(04/28/2010) This has certainly been modified — there is still work to be done.
“1942 Willys Jeep with 225 Buick V-6 Engine, 12volt system. Cylinders bored out .030 oversize. Brand new fiberglass tub, hood and fenders (fenders and hood need paint), dual exhaust to the mufflers (needs tail pipes), axle over suspension. 2 Bbl carburetor (4 Bbl Holly carburetor goes with it). New brakes including pads, spring kits and calipers. 15 Gal gas tank mounted in rear, all wiring and hoses are run. (extra 7 gallon tank goes with it). Frame is reinforced and rust preventative POR-15 applied. Wiring is installed (needs to be hitched to steering column), 5 brand new Cooper tires. Reinforced roll cage. Rear seat is installed (two front seats need to be mounted). Power steering needs to be mounted. I have over $5,000 invested just in new parts. With a little work, this Jeep could be running in no time. Make me an offer – best offer gets it! Limited time offer! Act soon! Call: (802) 380-4858 or email me at breezyacres42@msn.com.”
(04/23/2010) The Utah eWillys Bureau found this rig. Drop a different body on this and it could be a nice jeep.
