Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. In this picture you can clearly see this is a CJ-2A. It didn’t take them long to customize the bumper.
The first image below appears to show a MB. I’m a little surprised it doesn’t have a top for shade like the other border jeeps I’ve seen. The second picture is likely a CJ-2A based on the bas tank inlet.
This looks in very good shape.

Here’s a rare grille.
“From a recent find of parts hidden away many years, This is a used and abused original front grille from a Ford GP as pictured. It’s used, it’s been repainted many times. His minor dings, see photos, will clean up for a beautiful front grille.”

This needs the clutch replaced. The seller mentions it has an ‘aluminum’ buick V-6; however, I suspect the seller has confused that with the aluminum V-8. The engine is most likely cast iron if it is a V-6. This may be a good price.
“1953 jeep willys, army green with rebuilt Buick v6 aluminum engine, only 38,000 miles. New muncie 4 speed transmission with high low overdrive. 4×4. Canvas top with bucket seats and old school cb radio. This things awesome, its lifted, it has a working winch on the front bumper, like new tires. Only issue is it needs the clutch replaced. If you’re good with cars the price I’m asking is a steal. Parts are inexpensive, all gm, and easy to come by. If you have it done professionally however you’re looking at about $1200, I have the quote on hand. All told you’d be spending around $4200 if you go that route, and $3800 tops if you can do it yourself. I’m in the military and I just don’t have the time or resources to get this fixed. It’s worth $5500 with everything working right, so I could easily ask for $4000, but Im dropping it to $3000 just for the inconvenience of it. (11/02/2009) This has been for sale for several years. It’s missing steps and original seats, but otherwise looks like a good price. It runs and drives.

For sale is our Willys CJ2A nicknamed Limey for obvious reasons. While we have owned Limey we have replaced the clutch, water pump, head gasket, head studs/nuts and have inspected the brakes. The L head 4 cylinder runs good. The T90 3 speed transmission is strong and does not pop out of second gear. 4WD works great. Limey has also been converted to 12 volts. Overall the body condition is fair to good, it would need work to be perfect but it is usable as is now. The exhaust system also needs some work but we are including a piece of piping that should fix the problem. We also have a roll-bar that we can throw in if interested. Limey’s S/N is 153,891 and the frame tag, body tag and S/N tag all match. In addition the toeboard gusset and tailgate numbers match, their number is 143,524. While this S/N would make Limey a 1948, we have clear Minnesota title as a 1947. We are asking $2,200 OBO for Limey. Please e-mail with questions or to get contact information.”

“1945 MB 38 military Jeep. Runs and drives (just barely!) needs total restoration. 4 cyl 134 CI motor, T-90 trans. Military tires. Some extra parts. No top, great project. Will consider trade for 30 hp to 40 hp good outboard motor. Will try to post pictures when I figure out how to do it $1,200 or BO ”

The title lists this as a Ford, but the wheel well lids don’t look GPWish.
