Hard to say if there is much value here or not.
“Willys jeep cj2 complete original except it has a front cap off of a willys truck or station wagon. Engine will turn over if you pull it but the starter is bad. Probably doesn’t have much compression. Not for sale for scrap, I don’t want it recycled into a toyota fender. Buy it for parts for the one sitting in your back yard.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500
(05/23/2012) “The jeep is in great running condition, and still has the original L-134 inline four cylinder that starts right up and drives, no problems. The jeep shifts three on the tree. Two wheel drive. Shows 97 miles on the odometer. Always stored inside and the condition reflects that. It was partially restored by the previous owner, and received new paint and upholstery. Tires are in great shape. Let me know if you would like to come and see it.”
UPDATE: Now the seller needs to sell ASAP.
(04/11/2012) At first I thought this was a DJ-3A, but the side gas inlet suggests to me this is a CJ-3A.
“Need to sell 1955 Jeep CJ Willys! Does not run just needs battery and tires. Everything else is good. Its worth a pretty penny but i need a new car to start my job next week. Please if you have any interest or questions call 5302282398. Comes with Two brand new bucket seats and shocks. Its a great fixer upper.”
I know I’m not supposed to be posting today, but Ann and Kasia, my daughter, were running errands when they spotted this CJ-5. So, they gave chase and flagged him down. I wonder if the guy thought he’d get jeep-jacked? On the other hand, maybe it isn’t two often two beautiful women flag him down? Either way, they cornered their prey and shot the picture. No wonder my beautiful bride is a permanent part of the eWillys Team! 🙂
For those readers, whose French is better than mine, is this 1952 book about a pair of French men, Daniel Barbey and Henri Boucher, who go to New York in 1947, purchase a brand new 1947 CJ-2A ,and take it on an adventure through the US, Central and South America. The book was publish in 1950. It would be a good reason to learn French.

At last year’s ‘Eagle Fun Days’, which is held in Eagle, ID, where I used to live. In 2011 one of the carnival rides had had old flat fender jeeps in it. Here is a shot of one young man enjoying himself. His grandfather has less pleasant things to say about the event, which you can read in this blog post.
