About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Ted contacted me to let me know he has decided to sell Eleanor, his nice, stock, 1947 CJ-2A.
Ted writes, “ I am selling Eleanor, a Late 1947 CJ-2A. #148236. She is a daily driver and runs good. 134 engine, T-90 tranny, 18 transfer, 16’x4.5 rims, with new NDT tires & tubes. Converted to 12 volt, but have the original 6 volt generator & a voltage box. All new brake system from front to back. All new gauges & light switch, still in the box, old gauges are still in her. Warn overdrive (not in), Harrison heater & driver side heater(not in). I put a new heater in 2 years ago before I bought the harrison. New carb kit was put in 2 years ago, and she will start in -15 degree ever time. Tiger top is 2 years old. Has a nice roll bar in her, was going to take it out just never got to it. Has a 3A windshield on her now but have a 2A windshield for her also. Before I bought her, someone put in a bucket seat and cut holes (4’x5″) in the back fender wells for the buckets to fit, wouldn’t take much to fix. I have both 2A seat frames in nice shape with new seat cover, seat pans, foam & hardware, still in the box, also 47 back seat with original cover and springs (no rips or holes). I also have license plate brkt, leather shift boots, hood block and other parts that where made by members here on the form. There is other thing also that I have bought, or put on, just can’t think of it right now. The tool box floor is rusted out, but the pass, floor is good to go. I no for a fax, had kids jumping in it for 2 years. Factory color was mich yellow but was primer grey when I bought her. I was going to do a ground up restore but things have change and would like her to go to a good home.”
“This is a clean CJ3B that i am selling. It starts right up, runs good and drives/stops excellent. Original L Head 4 cyclinder engine with New Carb, New Alternator, New Fuel Pump and New Exhaust. Tranny works awesome and has a warn overdrive. New Tires, New Rims, New Brakes. The exterior of the body was media blasted and repainted but the interior was not touched. This is a nice and clean CJ3B High Hood Willy’s. They are hard to find in this condition. $6500 OBO”
“Nice original, unmolested 1946 Willys CJ-2A Jeep. This Jeep was owned by a local service station for many, many years, and spent much of its life stored inside. When the owner died, a co-worker and I purchased it and stored it in his garage. He began replacing some of the safety items like brakes and fuel tank, but lost his garage space to his wifes car. I bought him out, and had planned to finish the couple items but do not have time. The engine was running before the old rusty fuel tank was removed. It turns over with good compression, and has spark. The new fuel tank needs to be installed, and a new fuel line run. He also did some work to the brakes, but the lines are not finished (I think he replaced all the shoes and cylinders),. There is also some wiring that need to be replaced (cloth covering rotted)….”
“1951 Willys Jeep CJ, New Brake System , Re-built engine, Converted to 12v, Used as a Plow truck since 1980 “plow has been removed”, Very Low Miles. Starts and run good. Can be used as weekend driver for fun or a good ranch vehicle.”
This looks pretty solid. I suspect there’s an issue with the engine?
“1954 Willys Jeep Truck; 4-wheel drive; small block Chev. engine; project vehicle; $1,850.00 or BO; Additional parts available: front fenders, hood and grill.”
Strip off the top and repaint this and it might look pretty good.
