About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Here’s a couple trucks that must be sold. Make an offer.
“2 willys jeep trucks. 52 in decent shape, take little work to get running. Fresh rebuilt engine swapped in, new wiring harness not finished. Front axle broken with good replacement on second truck. Rear axle is a more rare timken heavy duty. No title for 52 truck originally form MT and all stock. 53 truck in worse shape. No engine, good cab. Bed is savable. Everything still there except engine and firewall is cut out by previous owner. Must have had a larger engine in it. Bought it for parts but could make a good truck with some work. You could make one good truck with axle from second or fix the axle and make one good stock truck and a good modified truck with newer drivetrain! Neat project, some extra parts come with it all. Call 317-319-6451 and ask for Brandon. Need to have them gone, make me an offer! Pic is of the 52 when it was sitting outside for a couple of days. Other than about two weeks, it has been stored in-doors for the 14 years I have had it! Very little rust on anything except the beds on these trucks!”
It appears lots of foundation work has been done on this. I’m assuming that the pic on the upper right has been thrown away.
“1949 Willy’s JEEP CJ-3A restoration project car for sale. Found in farmers field in New Mexico where retoration started, then moved to FL. Body was a throw away, but have the grill and all instruments. Frame has been repaired and repainted. Axles, gearbox, transmission, brakes, and steering rebuilt. Has new military replica tires. Engine complete, but needs to be rebuilt.”
This will “run with a little work”. And some duct tape; and some bailing wire; and a welder …
“1948 Willys jeep. Will run with a little work. Has a new flathead 4 cy motor that I put in several years ago and just never finished. Will turn over and try to fire just a timing issue I believe. (11/30/09) “Great Project Original engine with good tires (with spare), rollbar, newer rear seat, new wiring harness (needs installed), snap on cover with doors, tow bar.”
(02/10/10) I love the old top. The rest looks a bit rough.
“I have owned this Willys for the last 38 year it has always been garaged. We have had many years of fun with our Willys Hunting, Fishing, and trail riding. The engine was updated to a 1965 chevy 327 2V. in the late 70’s. Saganaw steering box, 12 Volt electrical, heater, 60’s T-bird bucket seats, Winch, and a Custom towing rig attached to the Willys.”
Here’s a short article about a Veteran of WWII named Mr. M C White. He was assigned a Jeep with only 7 miles on it during the war and proceeded to drive it for 3 years, through battles all over Europe. I don’t see a period at the end of the last sentence, so I suspect this article might be longer than it appears?
This article is from the front page of the July 19, 1946 issue of the Mt. Pleasant, Ia, Newspaper [The Mt. Pleasant News]. Thanks to Bruce for the article.
