About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
It looks the body and parts are sitting in the middle of nowhere…
“This jeep is between 1945 & 1949. I used to have the ID plate, but over the years I have lost it. I have the Tube, hood, grill, windshield & both front finders. I can take and send more pics if you want them.”
This looks like a M-38 to me, rather than a CJ-3A as indicated by the seller. I wouldn’t mind seeing some more pics of this.
“Real straight cj3a flat fendar jeep v-6 225 w/overdrive , starts right up, runs a little rough on the high end but it needs to flush out old gas for it has been seting for many years, last lic. tabs on jeep was 1980 . no visable rust at all .seats look like brand new . real cool dual feul can and spare tire swing a way . Its going to the moonshiners swap meet march 7th. at the puyallp fair grounds, it won’t last long . 253 370-7656/Bob/ 253 926-0447″
“I am looking for a 2 piece windshield for a Willys cj-2a. I would like the inner and outer but will take what I can get and go from there. Thanks, Rick days.206-617-6208”
“Up for auction is a very rare Jeep Cabover, the body frame and interior are in very good condition. The engine is a “Flat Head” 6 cylinder that runs great ….no smoke. The Dump Body is a fully functional Electric Hydraulic system. Some body work has been done to the cab. The Dump body and cab have been painted recently. The doors are in great shape, the passenger door needs some adjustment. Driver and passenger seats are in great shape Mechanically the Jeep is very sound condition but will require some tinkering (TLC). Please review the pictures provided carefully ”
The body has a tailgate, so I doubt it’s an MB. It looks more like a parts jeep.
“For Sale a 1943 MB Willys Jeep project, title in hand for $799 CASH OR BEST OFFER. I was in the process of making it into a fun driver and as such the tub in the pics is sitting on a postal Jeep 2WD chassis. The tub is NOT yet mounted. There is a good ’80’s Nissan pickup 4 cylinder engine and manual transmission mounted in the chassis. I also have other miscellaneous parts and pieces that will be sold as one lot including but not limited to the original chassis with front and rear axles, transmission, transfer case, etc. Most of the original Jeep body parts are usable. I DO NOT have the windshield frame. I’m sorry but PLEASE don’t call if you know nothing about old Jeeps and just want ask a million questions. Also do not call if you need a running, driving Jeep. THIS 67 YEAR OLD JEEP IS A PROJECT THAT WILL REQUIRE A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF TIME, EFFORT AND MONEY TO COMPLETE. PLEASE DO CALL if you seriously are looking for a project, or need parts for your project. Also please be aware that if you purchase this Jeep you will be responsible to load it up and haul it off yourself with your trailer. ”
This needs some work, but looks pretty good. It also looks like it has been stretched a bit in the front of the body and the front axles looks forward a bit too, suggesting this isn’t a standard frame. Maybe it’s a truck or CJ-7 frame?
“This would be a great hunting and/or trail rig. It has a chevy 4.3 v6, power steering, duel exhaust, 31×10.50 mud tires with 95% tread, trailer hitch, 3 speed manual trans, and 2 stick transfer case. This Jeep has been put up for several years and could use some work. Here’s what I know it needs: The front diff needs new spider gears ($100.00 from 4wd.com), could use the right rear brake drum replaced, and needs a tune-up. The broken spider gears were removed and the axel was cleaned and refilled with oil, so it does drive. (318) 355-5223 if interested.
This M-606 includes a Navy ID Plate — very rare based on what I’ve seen. The dashboard arrangement isn’t something I’ve seen. Get it while it lasts.
“US Navy 1958 CJ3B Willys Jeep with Willys Overdrive. Original 4Cyl F Head Engine. Tow bar. CB Radio. Original USN vehicle numbers. Slightly modified with roll bar and bucket front seats. Could easily be returned to original. Battleship grey and military tires. I am a navy vet and owned this jeep for over 20 years. It has been extremely reliable and bullet proof. Extremely rare military vehicle. Most survivors are army or marine issue. If your a vet especially a navy vet, this is your chance to relive a little of the past. Sadly, it is time they we both must depart and move on. I will miss my shipmate and the new owner must promise to take good care of her.”
“Basically, I have a completely unrestored, and non running CJ. Early willys. CJ2a windshield. A little cancer, all parts are there. Flat fendres, grill tail gate, original axles, tranny/tcase. Ford motor, disassembled at the heads, probably not even rebuild able.
I’ve had guys come look at this expecting more. When I say it needs a restoration I mean it. This is not a parts gold mine… Its old, its rusty and incomplete. Best used as parts, have panels taken from it, etc. I was going to take a Cherokee, and salvage all the parts from it to put into the Willys, but whatever you guys want. Its cheap enough, and price is negotiable it needs to move in 3 weeks or else it his the scrap yard. And yes the Capstan winch is GONE; no title”
