This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This ad for a Mustang Trailer was originally published by a company out of Bangor, Maine. Though attached to a jeep in the ad, the ad notes you can attach it to a truck, too.

Here’s a reproduction of a PR photo of an experimental CJ-2 jeep pulling a wagon.

“This is an original, 1942 GPW Ford Jeep. It was built Dec. 21, 1942. This jeep is as complete and rust free as you will ever find. This jeep has always been garaged and has a clear Title.
The Ford GPW were manufactured from 1941 to 1945. These small four-wheel drive utility vehicles are considered the iconic World War II Jeeps
This jeep comes complete with all five combat rims and canvas. There are numerous extra parts, including the original carburetor, 6-volt generator and fire extinguisher. I have converted the lights and alternator to 12 volts for brighter headlights but the jeeps comes with its original regulator, original generator, gauges and tail lights etc …. everything to put it back into 6 volts.”

It’s drivetrain has been updated, but sure looks solid.
