This appears to have a VEC CJ-2A Body.

“For sale a 1948 Willys Jeep. V6 buick engine, TH350 transmission. 33X12.5 BFG All Terrain tires in good shape. Four wheel drive works good, Hi/Low transfer case works good as well. Heavy duty bumpers front and rear, with rear receiver hitch. Front ford disc brakes only, rear brakes do not exist, carbureator needs a kit, accelerator pump doesn’t function properly, has a new battery. Fun vehicle to drive. Previous owner used it as a River Rat Call 402-two 6 nine-five 6 zero 1. I will not reply to email.”

“1951 Jeep Willys — a classic! Hasn’t been driven for a while, but was running fine the last time it was driven. May need a new starter. Does not have e-brake, and needs a new transfer case for 4-wheel drive. Four new tires, new soft top, new set of 4 tire chains. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500. It turns out this was not the only Parkette body kit on the east coast. Paul Parker began making them in Georgia after returnig there. this has the “tear drop” Bobcat hood as well.

I wasn’t aware there was another parkette bodied complete jeep on the East Coast.  According to what I was told, this was the only parkette body kit on the East Coast.  It needs a different hood.  It also looks like it has two different headlights.

Great for 4X4 off road or a scenic ride
Parkette kit
Great tires almost new and with aluminum rims
Engine runs great and is a 350 V8 Chevy
Only thing the jeep needs is a radiator
For the engine and tires alone you would pay the same amount, so this is a great deal

The Package Delivery Van Starts its Journey

You might remember that we spotted this rare 1948 Willys Overland Package Delivery van a while back.  The buyer decided he had to let it go, so Jesse volunteered to take on the project of restoring it.   To get to Phoenix, the van has made its first stop in Missouri at Craig’s place.

Craig writes, “The 1948 Willys Overland Urban Package Delivery is 430 miles closer to it’s new home in Phoenix, Arizona.  It’s resting at my place in Defiance, Missouri right now before I make the pilgrimage out there to Phoenix and back in a few weeks.  Since the ’48 got its start on eWillys I thought it could use an update there as well.  The pictures were taken just a stones throw south of Roxanna, Ohio where Roger Martin (pictured with me) brought it from its home in Lake Geneva, Ohio.  It looks a little better with some rubber on the wheels!
