Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It doesn’t run. The seller lists this as a CJ-3A, but the windshield suggests CJ-2A.

“1957 CJ5 with 60 CJ5 parts vehicle. The 57 is mostly all original, with hardtop and Meyer snow plow. It runs great, drives, needs brakes. The plow works good, I have the cylinders to make it power angle. It has a clean title. The bad: the frame is toast. The body tub is rough. The 60 CJ5 is for parts, I don’t know if it runs or not. The frame is good and it has a usable body. No title. Also I have another hardtop just like the one on the 57 except it has swing open doors vs sliding doors. $1200.00 for everything.”
