This has nothing to do with jeeps, but Steve forwarded it thinking I might like it.  I did.  I figured some of you would too.

According to the attached text of the email, “Check this out… a hand-formed all-aluminum Willys Coupe! It’s amazing what some people can do with an English rolling wheel, sheet metal brake and a lot of skill and knowledge. No, he is not going to paint it.  I love the polished flames!  It’s got the right stuff under the hood, too! The hood scoop has yet to be installed in the photo below (Look closely). This is Walt Austin’s aluminum Willys coupe at Jim Hume’s shop, south of Bellingham , Washington.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3800

This has a M-38 windshield and I think it has a glove box on the dash, too, so I think it is a M-38 rather than the CJ-3A indicated by the seller.  Or, it is a mix of parts.

This runs and drives, but has some dings, dents and surface rust.

UPDATE: Was $6400. **SOLD**

Looks like a nice jeep.

“This vechile is rust free. When refurbished all electrical componets were rebuilt, brakes, shocks, muffler cooling system and mechanical items were gone thru and refurbished / replaced. Tires, top and interior seats are new.
The mileage is unknown.
Everything works.
Engine is a 4 cylinder flat head (original). 3 speed transmission and 4 wheel drive.
This vehicle is not perfect but it is very close.”

” willys fc 170 cab, have all parts, was down to bare metal, was in italy for 3 months,surface rust covers cab now, moving to italy, so project is canceled, bumper, winch, engine parts and transmission do not go with cab, but will sell separate,  i have all parts for cab except glass, windshields are available, check thefcconnection dot com for parts, or other fc’s for sale, great truck to restore, i sold engine, sold frame and bed, but have not been picked up yet, so they might be available soon, i have it advertized locally, reserve to right to end auction early”

This is a CJ-3A rather than a “US Army” Jeep.  It looks in good condition and  comes with hats, too.  The seller seems to be a digit short of a full phone number ….
