About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
I love this one. Talk about a utilitarian vehicle!
“1953 Willys Jeep. Runs real good. Has plenty of power for plowing snow. Decent tires. No brakes but don’t need them for plowing. This is quite a conversation piece. Has a John Deere seat on it. Would be great for trails up north or just riding around like you do with a golf cart. Four wheel drive. This has a unique power take off that runs the front wench. Comes out of the back of the transmission. Worth taking a look at. Call Bill with any questions @ 810-516-7350.”
“THANK YOU FOR CHECKING OUT MY 1963 JEEP FORWARD CONTROL. IF YOU ARE INTO EXTREME FOUR WHEELING THIS TRUCK IS FOR YOU!! MY JEEP IS ON THE ROAD WITH A CURRENT NY STATE INSPECTION (PASSED THE FIRST TIME THROUGH). KEEP IN MIND I MADE IT FOR OFF ROAD USE AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AS AN EVERYDAY DRIVER. I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT TO LOCAL OFF ROAD EVENTS WITH NO PROBLEMS. THIS JEEP HAS JUST BEEN FEATURED IN JP AND FOUR WHEELER MAGAZINE. BOTH MAGAZINES ARE AVAILABLE NOW IF YOU WANT TO READ UP ON THIS FC AT THE TOP TRUCK CHALLENGE IN HOLLISTER CALIFORNIA”
It looks pretty rough and needs to be push started.
“I AM TOLD THIS IS A 1951 CJ-3A MODEL WE HAVE NO PAPER WORK, BUT IT CAN BE OBTAINED IN MOST STATES. THE JEEP RUNS GOOD, BUT IT HAS TO BE PULL STARTED. THE STARTER NEEDS SOME WORK. IT HAS A POWER TAKE OFF 8,000 POUND RAMSEY WINCH. IT IS BELIEVED TO BE ORIGINAL.HAS ORIGINAL GLASS IN DOORS AND THEY SLIDE UP AND DOWN.”
It’s got quite a bit of rust, but it does run and drive.
“here is a very rare ford jeep. I AM TOLD IT IS A 1942 MODEL. it comes with original military tires. 4 cylinder flat head. runs and has recently been driven in the fields. great for restoration or use. . see pictures”
“1948 Willys Jeep CJ2A Has straight six in it right now thats knocking real bad, but Have running original four cylinder that goes with this. Also have front and rear axle to go too. Body, frame, all running gear in very good shape. Will be nice little jeep when running again. has collector plates, so no tabs to worry about. ”
It’s got an interesting paint job. I wonder if there was some body work done on the driver’s side front?
“it has a good running 307 chevery motor. all it needs is the carb rebuilt. I am looking for something more practical and safe for my daughter and I. I am open to all offers but im most interested in 4×4 k5 blazer, ramcharger, full size bronco, full size pickup, any 4×4 toyota or 80s jeep, muscle car or rat rod.”
UPDATE: I’ve added some final information to this post …
After a great deal of research, I felt the best option for a bender for my purposes was to build my own. I quickly settled on Frank Takac’s plans from gotTrikes.com. Frank was great to deal with, responsive to my email and the plans were professional with plenty of tips, pics and information. Frank told me that a 15 year old successfully built one of his benders. You can see a variety of benders built by purchasers of Frank’s plans at his website. I can strong recommend these plans if you are considering building your bender.
I’ve been slowly building my tube bender. I followed most of the instructions I purchased (which were great — I’ll write more about that later), but I just couldn’t stand buying new metal when I had so much 1/4 inch angle iron laying around (thank you sis!). So, I made several modifications based on the metal I had.
Also, during the process of building, I realized I just didn’t care whether the bender looked good (such as grinding welds, sanding it down, etc). So, it is what it is. I did have some leftover chrome paint, if not smooth, it is shiny. I’m just waiting for a couple shafts to arrive in the mail and then I can start bending!
UPDATE: A reader would like to have one of these built for their project. See the comment below if you think you know of someone who could do this for them.
I was checking out Four Wheeler the other day and ran across this unusual spare tire carrier. Check out all the pics on this nice CJ-3A at Fourwheeler.com.
“Have an original 1946 Willy’s Overland Jeep that I must sell ASAP. CJ2A flathead, 4 cylinder, UNRESTORED. 57K miles. In storage. $4800., or best reasonable offers considered. Thanks. Call 978-870-6944”
The price for the jeep looks good. This might be a good price. The trailer is also $2800, which seems a bit high to me.
“Willys jeep and trailer for sale 2,800.00 for jeep and 2,800. for the trailer will sell together for 5,000. runs great good tires. ask for Bill 951-692-2207”
