About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Testing the waters about selling this project Jeep. Mostly stock except for having the later model flat head 6. Had it running over the winter. Bill of sale only, not title. Sold as is cash only.Emails need to have Flatty in the subject or I won’t respond due to spam.”
“1949 “Willly’s” Jeepster
350 Chevy Engine with 5,000 miles
Turbo 400 Automatic
4:11 Rear end, Pinto 2 Front end
Red with black vinyl Convertible Top
Mag Wheels, Large Tires”
UPDATE: This is supposed to be Fred Weis’ first Bobcat fiberglass body. **SOLD** Was $5500.
“1948 Willys Flatfender Jeep with Bobcat fiberglass body. It has a 327 small block chevy, T18 ford 4 speed, model 20 t-case, dana 44 with 1-ton chevy locking hubs in the rear, dana 30 with open knuckles in the front, warn winch in the front, 33″ MTR tires. It runs and drives good and has great working heat. Previously it had been in storage since 1981, but is back on the road and now has current tabs. This jeep is super fast and comes with lots of extra parts. Serious buyers only; might consider possible partial trades.
$5500”
The paint on the driver’s side seems a little odd. This has the ventilating windshield, the 2/3 1/3 seat, and only 18,000 miles.
“1960 Willy’s CJ5 Jeep, shows 18,000 miles. L-head Jeep engine, gone through on top end (valves). Starts, stops, and runs terrific…very dependable. Five like new 15″ mud/snow tires on five white spoke rims. Has Factory original full front seat (seats 3), and ventilated windshield…”opens like older Jeeps”. New plugs and wires. Passenger seat recovered. New red and black paint. Call us with any questions. Make a great huntin’ rig”
This runs. I love the shifting pattern drawn on the ‘dash’.
“Hi – what I have is a CONTRAPTION that used to be a 48 Willys Pickup – it is not roadable – however it is a good PLOW/UTILITY vehicle for personal or neighborhood use …
I removed the cab from the pickup – and made a roof – it still has the original jeep front end , fenders and hood … It has a make-shift flatbed … a roll bar , etc …
The truck has a usable frame/chassis – it would be a cool project frame to put under an El Camino 4X4 project , etc … currently it has a good running (original) 4 cylinder engine … 3 speed manual trans … 4X4 in good shape – old tires have plenty of tread – never got it stuck , but they are severally dry rotted … has a good radiator …. – converted to GM 12V system …
Has a hydraulic pump operated plow … that works good – fixed position – just up or down …
Havent started it for awhile – battery probably shot …. points may need to be cleaned …. but when these things are attended to , starts and runs very good …
I want to sell the whole thing as is … but I will remove the plow if you just want the truck – the truck will be 600.00 and I’ll charge the same for the plow if I have to seperate … better deal if you just but the whole contraption as is … I did have to gusset the frame where it was rusty on one side , but did a good job …”
“Off road Jeep with V-6 , winch, oversize tires, many spare parts and in good running condition. It has a military frame. Stock transmission, transfer case, front and rear diff. But the gear ratio has been changed to 4:27 and posi-traction front and rear {Powerlocks). Also installed 19 spline axles front and rear cause there stronger. Leaf springs are 3 inch lift comp springs very stiff. Engine is a 76 Buick v6. There is an adaptor between front of transmission and bellhousing. Off Road Only! Sold as is Bill of sale only! Might trade for a travel trailer that is clean and in good shape.”
“I have a set of 5 lug narrowed Dana 44’s off of my CJ3. I’m not sure if they are locked or what the gear ratio is. I was going to use these but I have decided to use stock axles for my project. They are currently still attached to the frame and I can help remove them. They are about 52 inches wide from where the tires mounts on each side
$400 OBO”
