Wagon at Nick’s Cove in Marshall, Ca

Yesterday Ron contacted me, asking if I had see the wagon on the Can-Am commercial.  Well, I couldn’t remember seeing a Can Am commercial.

Then, last night I was watching the Temple/USF game and updating eWillys when I looked up to see Can-Am flash across the screen.  I thought to myself, I wonder if that was the commercial Ron mentioned.  So, I rewinded it and spotted the wagon.  There it was, very briefly shown in the background.  A red wagon with white trim sporting the name Nick’s Cove.  After a quick search that focused on Nick’s Cove only.  I found the pic below.  Thanks Nick!

Nick’s cove is a small town in Marshall, Ca, along highway 1 near the Point Reyes’ National Seashore in Calfornia.

1950 M-38 Duluth, MN **SOLD**

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

“This vehicle is a rare find.  Its a 1950s Willy’s M38 in the United States Air Force “flight line” paint job.   This Willys would have been used during the Korean Conflict.   This vehicle came direct out of a museum in Minnesota (Commerative Air Force) and we are selling this vehicle because we are a non-profit and have to let it go in order to fund our upcoming fiscal year. The vehicle runs great and has NO RUST!   It has a new battery (and the conversion was made prior to us securing this vehicle a year ago).    If you would like more information please contact me.”

1951 M-38 Aguanda, Ca **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: M-38 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.

Vic has this jeep for sale on eBay.

This 1951 Willys M38 jeep is a roller project. It is full of history and a lot of its civilian life is known. From what we can gather, it was purchased from the military by a California school district in 1959, then sold in 1983. It has been parked on a ranch in southern California since 1983. It has an RMC-numbered engine which means that sometime between 1951 and 1959 when the civilian title was issued, the original engine blew and was replaced by the factory rebuilt RMC code engine. This code is the vehicle ID number listed on the title. This engine had been removed from the jeep and was found amidst a pile of Willys parts…a true miracle. This engine of course is included with the M38 (see pix). It consists of the block only and has some issues, among them a broken valve and a lot of dirt. Also included are 2 flywheels (one for the big clutch and one for the small for the T90), floorpan for over the transmission, exhaust/intake manifolds, a flexplate, and 2 stock rear bumpers. It is a 24-volt jeep and the plug on the passenger side is intact.
Serial number for this M38 is 30118, delivered 8-51. All ID and serial number code plates are intact. This jeep is being sold with the 1959 title. There are no license plates.

Body: This poor jeep has received at least 3 paint jobs over the original military green…grey, red and finally, yellow, plus undercoating that is peeling off. Any rust that is visible is surface rust. The floorpan is solid with the exception of one corner of the front passenger floor (see pic), there is a small hole there. The hood has a part that was cut out on the right side and it has cracked there. The tailgate is beat up and the rear bumpers are busted (2 excellent ones are included to replace these). There are many dings and marks but all in all, the body is solid. The windshield is missing and the side mirror is broken. There is a crease on the right quarter panel and also some damage to the right front fender (see pic). The rear lights plastics are in poor condition. … (read more on eBay)”
