Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Willy’s Jeep in need of a good home! I bought this 1948 Willy’s CJ2A jeep about six years ago with the plan to turn it into an ultimate hunting rig. Needless to say I never had the time or money to do what I wanted to do to it. It is not even close to original it has mud tires on it and a different engine (I’m not sure of the exact engine but I’m pretty sure it came from a ford car of some sort) it does have the warn overdrive in it which makes it a fun drive. It does not run right now due to sitting for a year or so, but it won’t take much to get it going. The tags are not up to date on it but that is nothing major. I am asking $2200.00 obo for it but I am willing to listen to reasonable offers.”
