I visited Dave’s website, Willys Country, the other day and saw he had two of the very rare 4 door Willy’s Wagons for sale. Click here and scroll down to the bottom of the page.
UPDATE: This appears to have been sold. Was priced at $3200.
This looks pretty solid.
“Runs great!!!! Needs body work, but in pretty good shape for year. Has Title”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.
Looks nice.
“1956 Willys, V8 350, automatic transmission, Chevrolet S10 frame, 2″ drop spindles, ps, pb, tilt, h&a. New carpet & pad for front. Wood in bed is perfect but needs to be sanded and refinished. Steel in bed needs to be painted or carpeted then wood reinstalled. All glass is good, seats are reupholstered and are out of a Mustang. This is a great driver and a blast to drive. A little over 16k invested, asking 12.5k.”
Does this jeep come with seats?
“This is a nice 1949 Willys CJ3A with original clear title. Starts & runs great. Brand-new Bridgestone Dueler MT Tires. There was outdoor carpeting glued into tub of jeep, I pulled it out so you can see the condition of the floor/footwells. In addition to the ’49 CJ3A, I have a lot of spare parts that go with this jeep. Included are: A completely rebuilt T-90 Transmission and Transfer Case. Rear axle with new brake lines, drums and shoes. Spare hood, grille and wheels and tires. Also a full set of gauges, carb & manifold and various other engine/body parts.
Thanks for looking, please call or text 636-448-4020. Serious inquires only.”
This might save some time on a restoration.
“PRICE REDUCED! MUST MOVE! Frame was sandblasted and painted. Has 4 new springs (military wrap) and shocks. Daystar heavy-duty greaseable shackels. Dana 25 front/44 rear (two-piece axle). Also an advanced adapters muncie 4-speed to Dana Spicer 18 or 20 T-case. Perfect for GM V8 swap. $475 for all (adapter alone retails for over $550)”
There looks like some value here.
“1949 CJ2A with military body, Title, Needs engine rebuild 413 535 8311”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2800
(09/03/2011) This appears to be a pretty good conversion, though it is only 2wd.

“1948 willys CJ2A. Runs great!!! Pretty much all original except seats. Snow plow and tow bar.”
Wade shared these two photos with me yesterday. He writes, “We were walking a site in Mission Hills of San Diego and saw this jeep at the end of a cul-du-sac in an older house’s driveway. Also is a shot of my nephew and their jeep. Thought it was just a good jeep shot.”
Here is his nephew and their nice looking flattie.
And this is just sad, even for a DJ . . .
