Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I need a transfer case complete with shift lever and overdrive for my 1963 Willys Wagon. Many years were the same, and I believe 1956 through 1963 were interchangeable. I want to be able to drive down the road above 47 mph without the motor turning maximum rpms.”

“I have a 1948 CJ-2A project rolling chassis that’s missing the tub (was too far gone). It has a Pinto 1600cc motor that’s bolted up to the tranny without needing an adapter. I stripped it down a couple of years ago as a project with my son but neither one of us has the time. Most parts are there, the windshield frame is new. Clear Fl title has it as a 1951 probably becuase that’s when it was 1st registered. The $500 price is firm, if I want to give it away I have plenty of friends who’ll take it.”

This looks like a CJ-3A which has an updated DJ-3A body.

We have had it for many years and used it to pull one of our irrigation pumps. It has a four cylinder motor and is four wheel drive. It has not been driven in a few years but should crank up with little more than a charged battery and some fresh gas. The odometer reading is 70718 and it has a clear title. This jeep can be used like it is or can be restored to its original condition. This is an “as is” sale with the buyer is responsible for picking up or arranging to have the vehicle transported to their location.
