"1955 Willys CJ5 Jeep. It has a 327 corvette motor, 4 speed tranny twin stick transfer case, has tilt wheel, spring over sitting on 42in super swampers. It was painted aproximately 10 years ago,but has been garaged until two months ago, it's never seen mud, but would be a fun toy to have. It has a stainless steel custom dash."
On first glance this looks almost brand new. But, on a closer look I realized someone couldn’t resist modifying it by changing the windshield. At first, I thought the windshield was raised and attached to an added bracket; however, after looking at more pictures, I’d say someone tried to make a CJ-3B windshield fit on it. On such a rare and good looking jeep, I can only wonder why??
“This ultra rare 5000-mile documented original 1963 Willys spent the majority of it`s life on a golf course in Florida. It is believed to be one of the few Surrey Gala models. At some point in it’s life it has had a color change and top upgrade. For the last 15 years it has been part of a private collection. It has never been offered for sale before. It is in excellent mechanical condition and presents beautifully.”

On Saturday I took my kids to the museum of flight in downtown Seattle. I wanted to use the experience as a springboard for determining an approach for a jeep museum. While the museum of flight is ostensibly about planes, it is really about people's stories (in the beginning, in war, in space, etc) and our experience as a people and the impact of planes in that experience. Their approach to planes mirrors my desire for a similar approach to telling the stories of the people who owned, used, and named their jeeps.
The museum of flight also offers bi-plane flights and other 'old time' experiences, which is similar to what I wanted to capture as well with people being able to drive an early jeep (such as an early bantam built to spec). A number of people have said I couldn't get the insurance I would need to offer these types of rides, but if their's insurance for giving bi-plane rides than their must be insurance for a jeep ride.

"This is a 1945 MB, WWII military jeep, that has been meticulously restored over the last 15 years. It is 85-90% finished, with boxes and boxes of parts, and everything needed to complete it. The parts used have been predominately NOS (New-Old-Stock: vintage parts still in the boxes), as when the project was begun there was still a supply of original vintage parts, and if a person was patient and willing to pay – could seek them out. This jeep is solid, and great care was even used to preserve all of the original spot welds, which as this is a military vehicle built for combat – it has plenty, and wears them proudly!"
