This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It ran before the seller started working on it. Body is off of it.
“Project I started a couple years ago and have not been able to find the time to finish. Engine ran and 4 wheel drive worked before I started this project, (had bad brakes and leaky differentials when I bought it). Both differentials have been completly gone through with new bearings, seals, and gear oil. New 3″ lift kit with springs, shackles, and shocks. New brake shoes, springs, and all four wheel cylinders are new. Body tub is off of the chassis right now. Good windshield frame. Body tub is decent, little rust, not bad. Jeep came from a farm in the mountains, never been on the beach. Clear title.”

Here’s a wagon project that runs and has a variety of updates.
“Project vehicle. Rebuilt Chevy 350 runs well. Rebuilt 700R4 with Dana 300 transfer case. Power steering and front disc power brakes. Needs glass, weatherstripping, paint and lots of other stuff but the basics are there if you have lots of time to tinker.”

“1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep. All original, all numbers match. Runs great, tranny, transfer case, brakes all work fine. Body in good condition. Original 4 cyl L head, 6 volt system, original wheels. Some extra parts, service manual, tow bar. Not many like this left. Clear title. Helena area, 431-9880.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
(03/24/2011) It might not take all that much to get this body back to stock. The engine looks nice. The battery location is unusual and not really the best idea.
