It doesn’t run, but looks in good shape.

“1969 Postal Style Jeep . Custom paint, Upgraded electrical, Newer rims with new tires, Newer seats,
Rhino Lined Floor, Just about everything has been done to this car but the engine.
Does not run and is registered Non Op.
Plenty of room in Compartment for bigger motor or rebuild existing engine..
I bought this as a project for my son and, I but it’s not our thing.
If you can rebuild a motor this is an easy project.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $700

(05/15/2011) This is a mix of parts and mods.

“This is a 1946 ? willys cj project Ive been putting together. The frame is from a early cj5 and has 4 inch lift springs with a locker in the rear axle. It also has cross over steering with a manual box. The frame has surface rust but is straight and very solid. The tires are 34-9.5-15 super swampers mud bogger tires on old willies rims. There is good tread left with a couple torn lugs and one tire was grooved for better traction. Body is in no way attached to the frame it is just sitting there. The front clip is sturdy with a couple dings along with the windshield frame and tailgate. The tub is very usable for off road but has had a large portion of firewall cut out to clear for a v-8 and has old patches and repairs. There is no engine however I do have transmission transfer case and drive shafts that can go with it. This would be really cool but I have way too many projects and Im getting into oval track racing. It will be quite a bit of work yet or just use for parts. ”

Set up for elk hunting as well as playing….has tow bar to tow it to the mountains behind your truck.
Has 8000# winch to keep you unstuck or to drag the elk to you.
Has keyed locks on everything so no one can steal your gas, your accessories, your spare etc while you are away from it.
I have owned it 10 years or more….

no checks. Currently has a leak on one of the front wheel cylinders…easy fix for you. New shoes, new cylinders and seals on the rear differential last year.”

(01/22/2011) A reader named Luke asked me to post his CJ-3B that was originally purchased by the Army.  I double checked to make sure this wasn’t a M-606 and the seller assured me that it was a CJ-3B and notes that “The data tag is marked SN 62151, which matches the last 5 digits of the VIN. All data tags are included in the sale.”  You can contact the seller through the craigslist ad or contact me and I’ll provide his contact info.

“For your consideration is a 1960 CJ3B, which was purchased under contract from Willys by the Army. It has the data tag, with serial number matching the underhood data tag to confirm this. Early in the life of the jeep, it was modified with two fuel tanks, either by the factory, or by the Army.

The engine, transmission, transfer case, and differentials are all in excellent operational condition. There is no smoke produced by the engine when running, and little to no noise when driving.

The brakes are rebuild and work well, the paint was applied by me. There is some rust, but it’s very typical of older jeeps, and does not harm the jeep. The jeep is currently registered as a Maryland Historic Vehicle.”
