UPDATE: Price dropped to $800. Eric notes that that winch is a hand crank rather than a PTO driven winch like I originally thought.

(05/15/2011) For $500 this might be a good price. I love the “JEEP” marking.
“Own a piece of history! This jeep would make a wonderful project for the guy or gal that likes to restore vehicles. The jeep comes with its original hard top. It has been a long time since anyone tried to start it, and the seats have since been removed. Everything else appears to be there.”
Sebastian wrote me yesterday, telling me he and some buddies made a special trip to visit the Willys Spring 2011 Reunion.
He writes, “Yesterday I went to the Midwest willys reunion in Mason OH. Altough we did not take our jeeps, some members of the Flat Fender Club of Butler went there to see some nice willys. It was a busy day, about 4 hours each way (from Pittsburgh). A very long day as you can imagine, totally worth it as shown in the pictures: http://flatfenderclubofbutler.wordpress.com/ (top post). I thought you may want to take a look.”
Here’s a couple of his images. See all of them at the link above.
A reader and his son have been restoring a CJ-2A and have mocked up their own .30 cal gun. They shared the below pic with me. Thanks!
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
It runs and drives. It likely has the wrong engine, but looks like a good price.

“1951 Willy Jeepster. $6500. “Lil Red” original condition, very good shape. Only serious offers please.”
This appears pretty solid, though the windshield is funky. There is no description. Auction will be held on June 11th at 8am?
