UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
(01/29/2010) “1947 Off-road Willy’s jeep, 4 cyl, 3/4 axles, lockers front and rear, low gear transfer case, 36 inch tires, good starter off-road vechicle”

In July of 2010 Brian found a 1945 MB on eWillys which he purchased. After getting it home and getting some repairs done, he decided that it should go to work for him, so he’s been lending it out for people to use for photos or as a display. So, many of you have probably seen pics of jeeps doing just about everything, but have you ever seen it used to sell books? I thought it was a great idea!
Brian writes, “I’ve actually rented the jeep out already to people for photos and display use – it all helps with the costs. I recently rented it to be on display at a Book Launching (Surviving Your Serengeti by Stefan Swanepoel) attended by over 10,000 people. There are also more photos from their book launch and people around my jeep at the Author’s facebook http://www.facebook.com/album.php?id=99032510438&aid=332726″
Here are a couple pics:
It’s not completely stock, but runs, drives and appears solid.
“Stock 4 cyl flat head. Needs some work, but runs and drives. $1800.00 OBO.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $20,000
The year on the hood of this jeep appears to read 1941, but the ad is for a 1942 MB. Probably an oversight, but just saying …
“you will not find a better conditioned willys army jeep than this… all original matching numbers 1942 willys jeep.. this vehicle has never been registered or even driven on a road..it has been professionally restored. its has 72 original miles ….yes just 72 as it just sits around in a climate controlled aircraft hangar and is occassionaly driven on the airfield.. it is in mint condition with no dirt of any kind on it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
“Veepster” kit car on a 1600 VW engine. Recently replaced transmission. Runs good. Needs timing adjustment and tuneup. Comes with top, windows, doors, and misc pieces. Asking $5,000 obo. Street legal with current license and tags. Hard to find and nice contrast to Manx style dune buggy.”

That may be a VEC body. This might be a good price.
“1948 Willys Jeep. Starts and runs strong! 4wd and Hi/Lo transfer case works great. Great paint with very little rust. Lots of original equipment (all original??).”

This is a nice build. I bet this has a Dana 30 or some other updated front end; The wheels appear to stick farther out than normal.

“1950 Willys CJ-3A civilian jeep 4×4. We used for hunting and lake vehicle. Original 4 cylinder engine – rebuilt in 1998 – yearly driven miles = 2-15. Starts right up – definately under-used. my uncle put in a heater, bought the canvas top/doors etc.. supposedly did axle work, clutch , driveshaft replacements and misc other stuff when he rebuilt engine and put on new carb. 12 Volt system now. Rust in several areas – but been here in Dry New Mexico for quite a while. Headlights not working ( switch?) but tail lights are fine – no turn signals.
Extra parts included – whatever i can find anyway.”
