Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. According to the seller, who has owned this jeep for 14 years, this runs and drives good. But, it needs new brake lines because the seller never connected them? That seems a little odd.
“Great hunting jeep..or project to restore..runs and drives good. I have title. I have owned for 14 years and only used at the deer lease. Has some original parts still installed, I have the original parts that have been replaced.. water pump 1 yr old, starter rebuilt 2 yrs ago. has mud tires with lots of tread left. I have original steering wheel, it has a best top frame no top. needs new brake lines, I have never connected brakes since I have owned. This dog will hunt 4000.00 obo. I can provide more pics or serial numbers just email… Also has limited rust..some bullet holes but I do not know the history..Definetly need to come see”

The fiberglass body looks in good shape, though the seller says it is cracked.
“This is a 1946 jeep. It was a complete running driving willys last week. It has now become a parts/project jeep. I have a good clear title and vin tag ready to go. There is also a tag on the frame. What is here:
complete fiberglass body kit metal windshield frame, glass is cracked. Metal wiilys hood and grille. Glass gas tank. steering column still connected to the box. Dash with all guages. factory frame in rust free condition, the body is still bolted on the frame. Trans & transfer case with drive shafts still mounted with the cross member to the frame. Front and rear axles with lock outs. Wiring with electric wiper motors. I do not have an engine. Radiator. Leaf springs. Seats. Other than these few parts it could easily be put back on the road. Can assit with shipping.”

(09/16/2009) “1952 willys jeep in execelnt condition custom wheels, 18800 miles, is a jewel, runs great, no rust, and Original color (banana yellow), the motor is a 1960’s overhead valve came originaly with a flathead. this is the only thing not original.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500
(03/25/2011) There are a few things that aren’t original, including the grille and bumper, however this could be a solid jeep none-the-less. This also has full floating rear hubs.
“48 willys: Good condition. All original except aftermarket vinyl soft top. 4 wheel drive works including low range. New tires. No back seat. Body is in ok shape; some surface rust, no holes. floor is all there.”

“Hi there , I’m selling my Fiberglass bodied Willys project Jeep. Basically this is a good start for a build up or switch the Body over to one that has rust issues or damage ? No Engine/Trans/Transcase/Windshield frame/etc. Rig comes with Fiberglass Tub,Diamond plate corners, Hood, Fenders,Chrome Grill,Stock frame,Axles,Springs w/small lift,Tires & Wheels and some misc. odds and ends. This has some of the solid letter Desert Dogs. I bet this doesn’t have a whole lot of miles.
