(08/31/2009) It’s got some brake problems and sounds like a project.
“II have a 51 Willys. I have owned it for around 4 years and just have not got around to fixing it up like I would like. It has been under cover the whole time I have owned it to save it from the rust. I started on cleaning up the body, I grinded it down to metal on most parts and and sprayed rust fix and primer on it to help it. The inside has mostly surface rust but the floor board on the driver side will need replaced at some point. I put new intake mainifold, valve covers, fuel pump, and rebuilt the carb. The picture I have does not have the carb on the engine, but it is on now. I have an extra hood and fender. It does have stock axles under it. Like I said it has been awile since I have done anything with it. If you have any questions shoot me an email, text, or phone call. I’m asking 2500,”

This Sunday is the annual Moonshiner’s Jeep Club Swap Meet. It will be held Sunday, March 13th 2011 at the Western Washington Fairgrounds, as usual. The event takes place from 9am – 4pm.
The swapmeet is open to the general public. Admission is $10, though children under 12 are free. You can learn more at the Moonshiner’s website.
The column shift has been converted and an F-head stuck into it, but otherwise looks in good shape.
“Vintage 1946 Jeep CJ2A. One owner since about 1947. Regularly serviced. Garaged for all of its life and not used for the past 25 years. Engine has been started regularly. First civilian model after WWII. Had shifter on steering column, but has been converted to a floor shift. Original flat head engine has also been replaced with the overhead valve four cylinder ‘hurricane’ engine. Large rear mounted PTO winch. Otherwise, most everything else is stock. In great shape with a ‘Koenig’ steel top. VERY little rust, if any? Repainted, upholstered and gone over mechanically in about 1956. Seats can use new upholstery. Carburetor rebuilt in 2006. Doesn’t burn oil or leak. Tires are all pretty good. Rims have a chrome ring on the rim. Everything works good. Runs great. Great for original restoration or drive it as is. Serious parties please E-mail to discuss price.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
This looks solid. I can’t tell if it needs a paint job on the side or if that’s there by design.
“This jeep runs great. 51 Willys with a 327. Edelbrock intake and carb. Dana tranny & transfer case. rancho suspension. New Optima red top. new seats and new top. everything works. Fun to drive.”
No pics provided. The seller says they can stand on the side steps. It sounds like it’s a flattie of some type.
“1940’s Willys jeep frame, engine, trans, transfer case, and body. Has tailgate, missing windshield. In good shape tub not rusted out, can still stand on side steps.”
