Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (03/05/2011) Bryan’s got this CJ-3B for sale.
“Runs drives, but don’t stop. It needs new seat covers, and brakes. It will take you anywhere you want to go. Engine runs with no smoke. Body is solid for the most part. New aftermarket willys plastic gas tank. 4×4 works fine.”

(12/19/2010) This has some updates.
“All original drive train. 12 V electrical system. 11″ breaks. Runs great. Kyline softtop in excellent condition. Seats in excellent condition. Great jeep to just take hunting or perfect to resore. Has been in central oregon since new. Tires in excellent condition. Aluminum wheels. Has a hard top that goes with it but needs some glass. Also has folding tow bar.”

(10/10/2010) This appears in good shape.
“I have a 46 willies flat fender that is compleatly restored with some upgrades. original running gear all rebuilt with 134 flat head 4cyl. original tranny 3 low 3 high is rebuilt and shifts perfectly. has front disc brakes, tilt wheel, and rear fenders shaved to allow seats to move back. has new 31″ tires and rancho leaf springs with rancho shox. has good tags and title. tilt passenger seat with glove box under. seatbelts have been added front and back. original gauges and plaques still on dash. has the passenger side heater that works to good. there is alot more and feel free to call with any ?’s. my name is rob, my # is (360) 771-1130 hard to put a price on this but i see others in far less condition for 15k so i will consider all offers over $7,500 including trades and part trades. thanks for looking.”

I received an update from the Bantam Festival folks. Click on the banner to read about the updates. I still haven’t made the decision whether I”m going or not. If I go, I’d like to spend another week or two in the NY area doing some family research, but that means I’ll be gone a month, so have to figure out the logistics to make that happen.

There were a couple mods to this, but otherwise looks good.
“1944 WILLY’S ARMY JEEP and TRAILER $7000.00 OBO
13 miles on speedo. Restored 20 years ago, very good body. NO RUST in rear tool boxes. Has machine gun mount, flat round spot on floor. 2 front seats with original seat belts, fold down back seat, blackout lights.
Shovel, axe, 5 combat rims, 2 on trailer. Matching trailer with original pintle hitch, support leg and brakes. Has rust hole in trailer floor and someone added a Willys tailgate, bottom of gate is rusted.
Jeep ran fine 10 years, now engine will not turn over. Has been parked under carport.
Owned by same family and brought to America with Scandinavian title, now has Florida title.

This roll cage has some really tight corners. The rest of this looks pretty sound, though there are some dings and dents.

225 V6 holley 4bbl carb, headers.offenhouser intake.
Warn od, lockout hubs, locking rear dif.
All steel body, new seats.
This Jeep is in excellent condition.
I dont drive this one much and it’s time to thin the herd.”

“You are looking at a 1946 Jeep Willys. It runs and drives good and come with the following. 31x 10.5 tires. roll bar. Reciever Hitch. 4 cylinder flat head engine. Floors and Body are in good condition.”
It looks like this has an unusual dash.
