“1949 jeep willys good shape manual and twin sticks with the over drive option has 33in tires and a 283 v8 out of a 57 corvette needs battery and rear u-bolt replaced.”
UPDATE: Price bumped to $3150
(04/13/2009) This reminds me of the very first jeep my parents purchased for me when I graduated high school, except it’s in nicer condition (not that the condition of this looks all that nice). The color and the cage was similar.
“1953 willy’s with a 327v8.”
Jeremy discovered just the project he was hoping to find. Congrats! You can see he has already recruited an enthusiastic assistant!
Jeremy writes, I “Found this on eWillys.com – was listed as a 1942 GPW. Sent my wife down yesterday and got it today. Turns out to be a 1943, but the frame and engine match – I am really happy with this jeep. Lots of original parts and the owner James was super nice. James was insistant that he sell the jeep as a whole unit to someone who will restore it rather than part it out. I guess he just had to wait for the right buyer. Looking forward to a long restoration.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
“This is a real classic, early 40’s jeep with a Jeep-a-trench,nobody around here has never seen one,I turn the engine over by hand, the estate it came from he trenched there water lines, all the levers work.I think it is really unusally. The only other on e-bay is $5500 without the jeep it is very rare.Thank you I have drop the price $500 will also consider offers this is for sale.I am droping the price another $500.Thank you”
HOG spotted this funny buy.

UPDATE: **SOLD**
Brett reports that this seller has two projects for sale:
1. **SOLD** Price is $1800. Old Willys jeep with steel shell, engine rebuilt, new tires, carburetor, one of Dad’s many unfinished projects, worth the time to look,”
2. **SOLD** Price was $1500
“Old style jeep, minus windshield, engine complete rebuild, new carb, new tires, shocks, nice red paint. Dad is gone and this is one of his many unfinished projects.”
Brett spotted this fine. It looks pretty solid. I’m not sure if this runs or not. It doesn’t seem as complete as the seller believes. Maybe there are parts in a box somewhere?
“1947 Willys CJ-2A. Solid jeep, great starting point for restoration, or finish the wiring, add some seat cushions and use it as is. I’ve restored a couple of the WWII era military jeeps (MB & GPW) over the years. This was going to be my first CJ restoration, but my current work schedule isn’t going to allow time for it.
You don’t find many this complete and unmolested anymore. Check out the photos and feel free to call or email with any questions. Thanks! Chris (801) 831-0741”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000
This looks in good shape.
“This is a 1952 USMC M38 Willy’s Jeep. I got this jeep about 1 year ago. I love driving it I have put some work in to it and was trying to FULLY restore it. I can no longer work on it due to my vision. She runs like a dream and she always makes heads turn.
Only things needed to be done to it is break stems need to be replaced, bleeding the brakes and minor carburetor work. I will throw in all the parts I have bought for it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800
Price is negotiable and it runs. It does have back California taxes. May be a deal.
“1967 Jeep CJ5A— I am moving and I don’t want to haul this to my new home. Help me stop my wife’s nagging! I am going to keep this simple. This is an awesome CJ5A Tuxedo Park Mark IV. In great shape! There we not many of these built. It is mostly original. This is a project that I have stopped working on. I repeat..this is a Project that runs. Here are the negatives:
-It is unregistered. It has Past Due Registration Fees in the range of $305.00.
-It runs but I have not driven it for 2 years.
Here are the positives.
-It is priced to sell. Anyone could turn this vehicle for a profit if they complete the work I have started. I will have this vehicle towed to any Santa Rosa Address at my expense.”
