About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
Something funky has been done to the back of this.
“I have a 1942 Willy s MB Jeep it has a supersonic staright 6 motor in it, my reseach says the motor is out of Henry J car, it doesnt have a battery and I never tried to start it because I was going to put a BBC in”
“I have a Ford Jeep built in September 1942 that was disassembled for parts. Has all three tags original to the tub. It was missmatched with a Willys engine and earlier and later Ford stuff, and the engine needs repair to the block. The tub has a rotted floor and needs some welding but is very straight. Chassis is very straight but the rear cross member is damaged. I still have a bunch of parts left like the original Willys engine that needs repair, transmission, transfer case, radiaotor hood, fenders, grill, wheels, axles, drive shafts, and a bunch of other stuff, most has the Ford “F” script including all of the bolts I saved. Some of the parts in the photo are gone already. About 75% complete. $950 for the whole lot.”
“Not too long ago I purchased a 1943 Ford GPW Jeep and it came with this hardtop already on it. I got it from a farm in eastern Washington near Yakima and was used as a cold weather top. Since I am in the process in restoring the Jeep, I’m not going to put the hardtop back on my Jeep, so it has to go! The top is from a late 1920’s to early 1930’s Ford, Chevy, Dodge or Buick. It has suicide doors, original rear view mirror and a windshield wiper motor (see photos). The body is sliver in color with red primer in places. It has a hole in the roof which is covered by a plywood board, which that whole area would have been cloth at one time. The windows on the doors are plexiglass and the rest of the glass windows are cracked bedsides the one on the driver’s side. Very restorable with minimal rust and no bad cancer areas.”
“I have a 1947 Willys jeep for sale. It is sitting on a Scout frame and running gear with warn hubs. The motor is a 302, the tranny is out of a Fairlane and it has the Scout transfer case. The body is a complete 6 piece (tub, fenders, grill, hood and tailgate) fiberglass kit painted hugger orange. The windshield frame is the factory metal frame. The wheels are steel spoke with 33″ swampers. I have most of the smaller parts in boxes. It comes with 3 race seats and covers. This jeep is a project and needs finished. All the expensive parts are there, just needs a few little parts and it will be an awesome jeep. I also have a clear title for it. I have too many projects and this one needs to go.I am asking $2700 OBO or I am open to trades. ”

(05/27/2010) Dan spotted this potential deal. This has an Overdrive unit that the seller doesn’t mention. You can see it through the missing floor section.
