Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For sale 1959 Willys FC-150 Forward Control Jeep, Has a flat head 4 cylinder engine, odometer shows 20K on it and the motor I think was rebulit at one ponit in time runs perfect. It’s a 12 volt system and the wiring has been updated to a “Ron francis Wiring Sytem”. The 4WD works great, the frame is clean no rust or rot, the cab has been restored by previous owner(all the rust and rot has been replaced with new metal). The Blue paint job is in good condition use some touch ups here and there. The interior is brand new white vinyl. She runs and drives fine.”
The body is supposed to be solid.

“1955 willys jeep, CJ-3B, high hood, almost no rust, 21,000 miles, bone stock, runs like a top, was used on a peach tree orchard all of its life down south, just about as clean underneath as it is on top. Not restored. $7800.00 offers cash only no trades”

“1953 Willys CJ3 Jeep. 134 cid 4 cylinder engine has been removed and partially overhauled. Comes with a spare complete engine and clutch assembly. Tub and frame in excellent condition, no rust holes. Has towbar and some spare parts. Has aftermarket wheels with Buckshot 32×11.50×15 Mudders. No title, bill of sale only. $1500 or best offer.”

Following the stainless bodies last night, I figured I’d head to the Phillipines and find some non Jeepney, but equally interesting, flatties.
