This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “For sale is a 1959 Jeep willys, it has a good running 350 GM engine, new brake shoes and drums, recently re-covered seats, new carpet, good tires , chrome wheels, new battery. Needs a little more work to make it completly nice just ran out of time for working on it though. well over 2500 invested. 2500 “

“Jeep hasn’t ran in 3 years, but it will. It is all there except for the seats. It has lock out hubs, it has normal jeep rust, but the frame is solid.”

“Up for sale is a Jeep postal Fleetvan and included is a parts car. This Fleetvan is from California and is virtually rust free. The F head 4 cyl engine starts easily and runs smoothly. The automatic transmission shifts properly. It is not drivable due to no functioning brakes. The previous owner removed the glass and some trim to do a re-paint and then did not follow through. The grille has since been reinstalled. I have most of the glass, however some is broken. Otherwise, this Fleetvan is approx 90% complete. There is however a parts car included that has the items that may be missing. The parts car is a “cut in half” unit that is a complete forward unit. Also included that is not pictured is a rear dorr assy and rear bumper. This would be a fairly easy restoration of a hard to find Jeep. Both vehicles are being sold on a bill of sale because there are no titles. They are located in Windsor,Pa which is close to York,Pa.”

“1948 Willys Sedan Delivery (panel). No Engine or Trans. 2 wheel drive. Surface rust only, other than spot by right cowl. Make a great Street Rod or restoration project. Bill of sale. $1000.”

(01/07/2011) I think this will eventually sink completely into the soil. It’s made it about 4 inches already.

Brett found this unusual (and perhaps commerative) lighter and ashtray. I wanted to make sure and post this before it sold. Note the red FC toy of some kind in the background as well.
“Interesting vintage WWII figural lighter. I believe it is a Willys Jeep pulling a small trailer that is the ashtray. I’m not sure if it’s made from steel or heavy cast aluminum. The tires are rubber and roll. The levers on the side, which look like door handles, make the lighter on the front of the hood pop up. On the top is a large medal that portrays the Berlin Blockade of the allied airlift of 1948-1949. The roof lifts up to reveal a compartment to hold cigarettes .. the short unfiltered type. Inside this compartment is the original paper label from the maker. W Baier ….. Ges. Gesch. The rest is in German, then US D 150078 patent pending. This Jeep is in very good condition, but there is a bit of oxidation on one side. The only piece missing is a small pole that would connect the trailer to the back of the Jeep. This Jeep is just one part of much larger collection. If you would like more information or pictures, feel free to contact me.”

“jeep cj 2a this is a jeep for a restoration, it needs a lot of work on the body floors are bad rear corners are bad and windshield are bad. hood and grill as well as fenders are ok.. It has 2 motors with it one is in it and it is locked up , but the other motor is complete and it comes with a generator/alternator flywheel ,water pump and all pullys it turns free, but thats all I know of it I have never had it running. I bought it as a project for me and my son but the interest has died off so its time to get rid of it. The running gear seem to all be good diffs front and rear as well as transmission and transfer case. I only have one pic as of now but if you need more just ask and I can email them or you can come see it in person..thanks…Rick.”
