Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Alright football fans. Mark spotted this unusual jeep. A Texas Christian University fan of some type painted this flattie. The paint appears to be in decent shape still.

“Has small block 283 Chevy conversion. Probably done in the 60’s. Body is pretty straight. Needs rust repair but it is flat pieces of steel. Has swinging pedals and overdrive. Good Willys tailgate. It has been sitting for years, not running. First $1,000 takes. ”

Motor still turns over.
“I have a 1948 Jeep Willys. the jeep ran when i parked it a year ago. still turns over but wouldn’t cank a few days ago when i tried.
The body is no good but the motor ran strong. and the hood is still decent.
Here is a list of the parts i will sell.
Motor- flat head 4 cylinder– $250

Front end– $125

Front and Rear driveshafts– $25

This looks pretty good.
“I am selling my 1954 Willy’s M170 USMC medic jeep. There were less than 4000 of the Jeeps ever made and less than a couple hundred thought to still be in existence. This Jeep is partially restored and needs to be finished. Email me with any questions and I will answer right away.”
This one cracked me up. The seller notes it is both fully restored AND it needs brake work. So, I’d say this is sort of restored.
