Sure, it is a mess, but it has Desert Dogs!

“Complete Has overhead valve engine out of a newer (1950s-60s) jeep. Frame broken near grill. Has Willys stamped on windshield frame. Tub has been patched a few times but it it almost 70 years old. Great for parts. Was a mudder before frame broke about 15 years or so ago. I unhooked the generator and put a battery in it last summer and it whirled over but thats as far as I went. 740-464-0363 I will consider trades. No title.”

1952 M-38 Arvada, Co **SOLD **

• CATEGORIES: M-38 This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1875. It was listed on eBay

This has a solid looking body, though there have been a few mods to it (and the rest of the jeep).

“Well I’m sure no expert on jeeps, but this m-38 jeep was almost given to me by a friend. This information is just as I’ve received it from him.

This jeep has just sat idle in a car port for the last 5 years or so. First I will list the minuses as I see them. It has not run for several years. It needs  seats (but I have the base frames).  It will require whatever sitting idle for 5 years would require. (fresh gas, tune up, fluids, battery etc). I do not have a top, or a key.

Now for some of its pluses.
This Jeep had a v-6 Buick professionally installed some years back. The install looks as if it came from the factory. (nice Job)

This jeep was running and driving well when it was last parked. It has the military 5:38 gears, axe mount, and one run “dark light”.

This jeep is almost 60 years old and not rusty. The floors, bed, and body are excellent.”

“1954 Willys CJ3B , 4-Wheel Drive with plow. Needs some TLC, runs great, would make a nice winter plow truck or a restoration project. There are no brakes, vehicle has been sitting, floor pans are shot, but the little beast keeps running.”

It’s rough, but mostly complete.

“1946 Jeep Willys. This is an unrestored Jeep Willys CJ2A. Sold on Ebay and Buyer never came through…So 2nd Chance for you!

This Jeep is sold as is.  Everything appears to be there: engine, drive train and transmission.  I don’t know how long it has sat and or ran.  It rolls and can be restored to something special or used for parts. Will ship-you pay based on formula below. If you are in the area then arrangements can be made through seller. Buyer pays for all shipping costs. I do not currently have a title.  I have a bill of sale from the lady I purchased it from.  You have to file for a lost title.  All of the numbers match: frame, tub, motor, etc.”

A few weeks ago I stumbled upon the National Archives of Canada the other day, discovering a variety of WWII Jeep images related to Canadian forces.

1. Lance-Corporal Bill Weston (left in jeep) receives a message from despatch rider Sapper Arnot Walter, both men with the 6th Field Company, Royal Canadian Engineers (R.C.E.), France, 2 July 1944.

2. Troopers of the Three Rivers Regiment in a jeep, England, 22 July 1942.

3. Personnel of the Loyal Edmonton Regiment filling a jeep with gasoline, San Lorenzo in Monte, Italy, ca. 22 September 1944.

4. Private Maurice Richard (right), Canadian Provost Corps, talking with students of the Khaki University of Canada, who ride in a jeep driven by Lance-Bombardier R.S. Hughes, Leavesden, England, 15 April 1946.

5. Personnel of the 17th Duke of York’s Royal Canadian Hussars transferring from a “Seep” (waterized jeep) vehicle to the Chevrolet C15A truck which serves as the unit’s bus, Weener, Germany, 13 February 1946.
