Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “It is a 1962 Jeep Willys DJ-3A one of about 2500 made that year. It was originaly a little Island touring truck that the hotels would use to take guest around. Its in good running order, looks ok. It does need a paint job and a little body work. Price is negotiable. I am leaving the Island soon so it needs to sell. attached is a pic of what it could be. right now it is flat black.”

He writes, “this jeep comes with a strong f-head motor, a T-90 tranny and upgraded Dana 20 transfercase. In the rear is an AMC 20 rear axle and in the front is a Dana 30 front axle with disk brakes. Just about everything is new, including a 24,000 btu heater(NEW)very good condition. There’s too much to list. Please contact for more information.”

(09/29/2010) I can’t tell much about it from the pics. It appears pretty stock.
“The jeep is in fairly good condition i cleaned it up a lot with the power washer. Needs a battery and tune up and should start rite up, it was running last time it was parked but was sitting in a shed for a couple years. It still uses a 6v battery. I was in the process of restoration but i just dont have the time and money to do it. Is a great restoration vehicle for someone thats not in tobad of shape. It still has the winch on the vehicle and i have the door pieces and other bars that came with it. I also have the original title for the jeep.”

1952 Jeep Willy CJ3 4×4 straight 4 cylinder. Runs great, current registration. Needs paint and perhaps a little tlc but also is very useable as is! These pictures aren’t the best, it’s in my garage out of the weather. No hard top, tires need air only. Best offer takes it away.”
