Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. He writes, “this jeep comes with a strong f-head motor, a T-90 tranny and upgraded Dana 20 transfercase. In the rear is an AMC 20 rear axle and in the front is a Dana 30 front axle with disk brakes. Just about everything is new, including a 24,000 btu heater(NEW)very good condition. There’s too much to list. Please contact for more information.”

(09/29/2010) I can’t tell much about it from the pics. It appears pretty stock.
“The jeep is in fairly good condition i cleaned it up a lot with the power washer. Needs a battery and tune up and should start rite up, it was running last time it was parked but was sitting in a shed for a couple years. It still uses a 6v battery. I was in the process of restoration but i just dont have the time and money to do it. Is a great restoration vehicle for someone thats not in tobad of shape. It still has the winch on the vehicle and i have the door pieces and other bars that came with it. I also have the original title for the jeep.”

1952 Jeep Willy CJ3 4×4 straight 4 cylinder. Runs great, current registration. Needs paint and perhaps a little tlc but also is very useable as is! These pictures aren’t the best, it’s in my garage out of the weather. No hard top, tires need air only. Best offer takes it away.”

“1948 Willys CJ2A. Looks and runs great. Four wheel drive works. Original engine replaced with a 350 (Novak conversion). All terrain 31 inch tires on chrome wheels. Roll bar. Gas tank enlarged and moved from under the seat to behind the rear axle. Aftermarket bumpers on front and rear. Sprayed in liner. Newer, more comfortable, seats. Although not in the pictures, there is a Tigertop soft top currently on the Willys. Current tag and inspection. Title in my name. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer CJ2A than this. I prefer to sell the Willys, but would consider a trade for a four wheel drive ATV 500cc or bigger.”
I think this looks pretty good considering it has been sitting 10 years (or more); however, I’m sure it doesn’t look $2500 good.
