Check out my new Hot Wheel Car; A reader named Frank sent this to me.
It is a project.
“I have a project I can’t finish and need to let go. It is a 56 Willys DJ3a with a good title. It looks like a 3A with out a tail gate. It has a complete body the tub needs a little work mostly front floors. It has a good windshield. The frame is mostly boxed with the spring hangers cut off at the moment. The front axle is a disc brake dana 30 from a 79 cj w/ 3:73 gears, the rear is the offset 44 it is torn down and has some of the parts for a full float disc set up, It has a dana 18 transfercase. I’m asking $500.00 for what I have come take a look or make offers on what you are interested in. I’m open to trades let me know what you have. I’m into most outdoors stuff and am working on a Scout 80 also.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Make Offer
No engine.
“I have a 1949 Willys flat fender Jeep I’m looking to sell. The body is in pretty good shape, not a ton of rust. NO ENGINE, it has both axles, a transfer case for a AMC 304 V8, and transmission. This would be a great project vehicle, its what I had planned for it but I’m just not going to have the time or money anytime in the near future. The steering wheel and column works, it has an instrument cluster, no seats, there is a roll bar, headlights and tail lights are with it. I’m not posting a price because I’m really not sure what its worth. If interested please e-mail me. I’d be happy to answer any questions I can. I’m not a motorhead so if you have a technical question I probably wont be able to answer it. But I can answer any basic questions. I’ll consider all serious offers.”
Looks like a rolling chassis with no description.
“Looking for an old, reasonably priced plow that will fit/match my 1953 Willys CJ3B. I would like to use this to plow my driveway this winter. Thanks!”
Can’t tell much from the pic.
“Excellent original condition. Restored 1990. Garaged since.”
Needs work.

“got 2 of these, tub needs to be changed from one to other, motor seized up working on freeing up now. lots of pics of both jeeps”
This is the VEC. You can see column shifter and 3 data plates.
This is the later ’46. The back of this is pretty trashed.
No pics provided.
“1943 Ford Military Jeep 1/4 ton for sale. Good Title. Completely stripped down and ready for rebuild or parts. All parts available. Engine ran good when dismantled. Head has been milled. I thought it seemed like a great project, but I have started too many others. $500 Call 417-632-4257”
This has got a few issues.
“Selling my Willys!!! Don’t really want to, but it looks like I might be going to Afghanistan and would rather someone use it than have it sit in storage.
’46 VEC CJ2A #17477. Jeep runs and drives great but should still be considered a project. Needs a lot of little things but I drove it all summer without any issues. I stripped all of the bondo off of this Jeep that previous owners put on it so you can see what needs to be done. I have nothing to hide with this CJ and I hope someone gets as much fun out of it as I did. This thing’s been all over the San Juans and Moab and has been a great travel companion. This would be an excellent starting point for someone new to the old Jeeps as I located most of the hard-to-find parts and got the mechanical gremlins out already (knock on wood). If you buy it, I would also be willing to spend a day going through it with you and showing you everything that it needs.
Will consider partial trades for cool overland gear (ARB awning, engel fridge, RTT, GOOD lights, winches, etc). I have the title in hand and would be more than happy to put it in indoor storage for you until you can pick it up (storage is about $100/mo around here)….. Please no low-ball offers … give me a call at 9-0-7-3-4-7-2-3-6-6”
