Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is a good looking Jeepster.
“Model VJ Phaeton Convertible with original “go devil” 4 cylinder engine and 3 on the tree transmission with factory optional overdrive. All mechanicals have been rebuilt/restored with just over 400 miles driven since. It is a very smooth running and driving car. This is a 1949 model with production figures of only 5,845 built that year, and only 19,132 built over the 3 years of production. This one sports a yellow paint job with yellow and black interior. Yes, tonight I bought 3 Austin Champs. It turns out one of them is a Royal Marines RN Champ. There are only 3 of these know in existence (it’s the gray one). You can see some big pics here.
