This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This has been sitting a while.
“1946 willys jeeep with a early 50’s snorkel motor.Motor turns over by hand with the plugs removed. Its been sitting since 1977. I got it for a project but don’t have the time or the money to fix it up. Pink slip says its a ford model. Needs tlc but probably wouldn’t take much to get it running.”

It’s not entirely original, but appears mostly original.
“1948 Willys Jeep All original!!! Flat head 4 cylinder motor, 3 speed manual transmission. Bone stock, never been touched. I am only the 3rd owner!! Excellent condition, runs good, drives good. One of a kind!!!!! No Trades”

It appears almost the entire rear passenger side has been cut out. I suspect the driver’s side is the same.
“Fiberglass Jeep tub – will fit early Jeep (flat fender models) CJ2A, CJ3A or MB. This tub is used, has some holes drilled in it, and some cracks in the rear portion. Structually sound, just needs some work. The tub is located in Las Vegas, however I will be in Fallon and Carson City the weekend of July 10 & 11 and will haul it to there if you wish to buy it.”

My only experience with a 400 was the one dad installed in our motorhome. That motor easily moved the motorhome along with a trailer with my on the back of it. I can only imagine that much power in the jeep itself!

There appears to be a PTO and various parts. I can’t tell what all is here.
“I have several left over Willy’s Jeep CJ2a parts left over package deal $1,800 firm takes all. 1945 jeep AZ Title body rusty a few transfer cases, transmissions and flat head engine blocks, PTO winch, hood, tailgate, 2 differentials and various parts to many parts to list. cleaning up”

(05/26/2010) The body looks solid, though someone altered (hacked) the driver’s side entrance.

This sold for $2750 on eBay.
“This is a 1947 Willys army jeep. It has been in my family since I was a child. I rescued it from my Aunts yard a few years ago and rebuilt it. It is in pretty solid shape, and runs well. It has been driven lately in parades. It has a little overhead cam motor from a 70s vintage Ford Pinto, and it has rack and pinion steering from something. It has a chevy camaro charging system and a radiator I found in a boneyard that fit. The four wheel drive all works, and it has warn lockouts up front. The seats came out of an S-10 I believe. Basically it is a fun little car that rumor has it that my Uncle bought as army surplus cut in half and he assembled it. My Aunt drove it daily for years. I never use it and it is taking up space. Hopefully somebody would like to use it or restore it, or even modify it. It comes with no guarantees, or returns. It can be picked up or shipped but I will have to see what that costs and I will ship it after I receive all monies. I will try to answer any questions I can. Oh, the brakes need to be bled, but a few pedal pumps and it is driveable. It has a hitch on the front so it can be towed, and the tires are new.”

(06/16/09) This looks very nice. If memory serves me correctly, this is the first flattie I’ve come across for sale from North Dakota.

This looks like it has been updated to 12 volts.
“1948 jeep Willys all original parts waiting for you to restore. Original engine, Trans, transfer case, axels etc. No seats. Has not run in a few years but no cracks in block etc. I HAVE TITLE!!!!!!!!!!! Need to sell this week. Moving to Apt and will have no storgage for this.”
