“1947 Willys CJ2A 4×4 V8 NO PINK SLIP •⚠️BILL OF SALE⚠️• •I have all 3 Vin Tags •265 V8 Small Block out of a 1955 Bel Air. •The engine is seized and way out dated. •There are no cables or wires on this vehicle, meaning it does not run, start, drive, you name it. Currently for the flint stones. • Transmission and Transfer case are original to the vehicle. •Only thing not original is engine and some metal used to patch rust. •Gas tank has a small hole so it will need to be welded or replaced •Mileage is unknown on this vehicle •It did once run with the V8 in it. •All bushing and rubber seals have cracking. • Vehicle rolls and turns freely. Steering is hooked up •All tires hood air but do not recommend pulling vehicle at high speeds. • Extra parts include, radiator, ignition, starter, fuel pump, brake pedal, clutch pedal, wind shield wiper motor, high beam floor switch, fan, tow hook and shifter cover. •Rear floor pan is out of a YJ Jeep.”

Year? CJ-3A? Zillah, WA **SOLD**

year-cj3a-zillah-wa-01

UPDATE: **Sold**

This is a REALLY well done build. The customizations are clean and simply executed. David has a clear title, but the serial number appears to be from the previous L-head engine (not uncommon).

The only issue with the jeep is that the hazards are staying on when the jeep is running. The switch to turn them off isn’t obvious (unclear where that is).

Here are the specs as best as I could determine:

It is a CJ-3A based on the body and the frame
Buick V6 (most likely a 225)
12 volt system
3 Speed (T-14?)
Dana 20 transfercase (single lever)
Custom radiator
Power Steering
Tilt Steering wheel (possibly out of a Cherokee jeep?)
Dana 30 front (most likely)
Dana 44 rear 30 spline axle center pumpkin
Dual tanks with a change-over valve
Swing pedals
Mechanical, but custom, clutch setup.
Dual master brake cylinder
Disc brakes in the front
Drum brakes in the rear (likely 11″)
Full Roll cage, though mounted to the body and not to the frame
Soft top
Serial number likely based on the previous L-head 4 cyl engine
Custom rear bumper

Tom Cruze Update

2022-07-21-lizzie-tomcruze-bettypage

Here is a rare moment of harmony. Left to Right: Lizzie, Tom Cruze, Betty Page

John asked how Tom Cruze was doing, so here’s an update.

Once Tom got rehydrated and got some food in him he was most definitely energized! He’s been climbing and exploring the house. The vet said it best, “He’s a feisty one!”

He doesn’t seem to mind that the dogs out weigh him about 10lbs to 1lb; he gives as much as he gets. Lizzy in particular loves to wrestle with him. She is as gentle as she can be (she’s sort of a lunkhead, so she isn’t all that gentle). Still, the two of them seem to enjoy playing.

The dogs are not fans when Tom tries to nurse. That’s about the only time they will growl at him.

They don’t mind napping together (why do we have such monochromatic animals?):

The girls hovering over Tom is the usual state of affairs:

Wrestling is another favorite, though mostly it is Tom and Lizzie wrestling (Betty Page mostly just wants to lick him):
