This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s unclear if this runs or not. It appears to have a few dings, but might not have much rust.

Runs and drives great. Leaks a little oil. Gets a lot of attention. 4 cylinder flat head, 3 speed, 4 wheel drive. Very rare in this condition at this price. NEED to sell”

UPDATE: Price dropped to $250
This was originally for sale back in June. At that time it included fenders, but was priced higher. The tub itself looks great on the outside.

“FRESH OFF THE FARM!! RARE!! 1958 Jeep FC170 4×4, 226 6 cyl, Forward Control (Cab over) runs good, good body, no rust, painted frame. Has dump box, front winch and 8′ plow.”

“Needs resto. Has been sitting for 10 years since last run, but started right up with fresh gas and battery. Smokes like the Batmobile. Flathead 4 cyl. 12 volt elec. system. See at 2025 N. Beverly. Call”

(05/05/2010) This looks in good shape. There’s an interesting lining of some type along the rear wheel well.

I’ve been in the garage all evening swapping leaves on my rear springs to get the rear end to sit at the right height. After several swaps I finally got the body to a level spot. Whew.
