Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This might be a good price; it has no engine.
“For Sale: 1958 Willys Jeep pickup. No engine. The original trans,transfer case and both diffs are there. This is a good project truck, hot rod it or restore it. (02/25/2010) “You are bidding on a 1948 Willys Jeepster Convertible. It has original running gear and 4 cylinder engine. This vehicle runs great and drives wonderful. Also features overdrive. Sets on a 12 volt charging system. Has bucket seats in the front and a bench seat in the back. It has been stored indoors. This vehicle is red with a white convertible top and plastice windows in good condition. Speedomoter is broke but has no more than 70,000 miles. Should you have ANY questions please call me BEFORE bidding.”

(04/07/2010) This MB has been a little customized.
“Willys Jeep has a mustang 6 cylinder and body is in good condition but needs paint job… Fixed up its worth anywhere from 5,000 to 10,000 depending on if its just a four wheel drive or military style. This is a real Willys and was a military Jeep, has holes for the gun in the middle and places for all the military equipment… the real clue is there is no gate that drops down in the rear… its flat. Note that is has a lot of surface rust from not being painted and paint worn in spots but all the metal is very solid on it. All vehicles sold as is, cash only.”

“Mostly original Jeep Cj5 Jeep-a-trench. Body is pretty solid, some rust mainly around hat channels. Half cab w/ pass door only. F-head with governer. (could use carb kit – floods out occasionally) breaks could use some work. Trencher seems to work as it should. Hydraulic creeper drive works great. Open to offers, would rather not put it on ebay. Dave (HOG) pointed me to this video. Dennis was asked to do something ‘a little different’ so he came up with an idea to spell the word ‘jeep’ using jeeps. If this has been done before, I haven’t seen it. In the video, Dennis doesn’t mention the effort was like herding cats, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was. For the next trick, let’s try spelling WILLYS?
