Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This includes an overdrive. This appears to have a variety of updates, including swing pedals and tilt steering wheel. It might make a pretty good project.

“I am selling my ’63 CJ 3B because I was hoping to have it for a restoration project, but as you all know sometimes life gets in the way. I’ve owned it for 7 years and it has just sat, the engine has run in the past five years or so. It’s all factory. In the pictures the doors are off of it they way they were when I bought it and have been kept in my garage. The frame is solid, and the worst part of the body is the hood. It still retains the original firewall VIN plate and I have a clean, clear Maryland Title. This is a really great starting platform. I wish I could keep it. Looking for $2000. I am in Silver Spring, MD just outside of Washington, DC.”
