This looks like a very nice CJ-3B for the price.

“Available now is my ’53 Willys Jeep. It appears unmolested – which is to say that it looks reasonably stock and is in very good condition for its age. Adult owned – garaged. Has a functioning 8-track tape player (and tapes) and a Johnson 23ch CB radio, too. Included (but not shown) is a rear cargo rack and a fold-down rear seat. Also included is a Bikini top. Mechanically, it has had all of the desirable modifications done: Buick V6, SM420 transmission, Saginaw steering, Warn winch, KC lites, etc. I replaced the entire suspension last year…new leaf springs, shocks, shackles…even new grease fittings! I’d consider trades for a very cherry Samurai, Toyota 4×4/4Runner, or maybe a small convertible sports car like a Miata. I have many pics of this Willys and would be glad to forward some to you. “All original ,4wheel drive, only thing it needs mechanically is some engine wiring. Would be a nice project for anyone who’s into antiques or 4 wheel drives. Makes a great off-road jeep! UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $3000

(12/26/09) Here’s a nice looking restoration.

“Frame off restoration. Original powertrain, 4 Cyl L-Head engine, new carburetor, resealed intake and exhaust manifolds. Underneath of body was cleaned and undercoated when body was off the frame. Frame was cleaned and undercoated and painted.All body bushings are new. Completely new wiring from front to rear, 12V system. All new gauges, speedo cable and e-brake cables. New stock seats and frames. Have the stock rear seat, but will need to be recovered. New paint last June, inside and outside of tub, grille and hood. New rear brakes, hardware, wheel cylinders and brake hoses. New e-brake shoes, hardware and master cylinder. Haven’t done anything with the front brakes. The front locking hubs will need to be replaced.”

“1946 Jeep Willys CJ2a, Jeep comes with An extra set of tires and a top.. All of the electical has been replaced and all of the gauges and lights works.. Jeep is still 6 volt and runs, it has been stilling for quite sometime and needs the carb cleaned/rebuilt (jeep runs alittle rough and starts hard)….Please feel free to ask questions.”

There’s some issues with this jeep.

“1948 willys overland jeep vin# 169843. dont know if it runs or not. trans wont shift. mostly original and complete. has an alternator no generator. wheels and tires dont come with (borrowed rollers). can be titled. some rust. would make a good project or parts vehicle. 1000 obo may consider trades for 4wd chevy parts(sbc motors, 4wd th350, 4wd th400, transfer cases”
