Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Here’s a parts jeep.
“Am selling my 1946 Willys cj jeep as is.Would make a good rockcrawler/ Mudder project.I have no title or paperwork,but can get a title from serial # tag from what I’m told.Is kind of a basket case,but has a dana40rear and a dana 35 front.No motor.Too many projects going on,come take this off my hands”

I can’t tell what’s left to do, but it’s got some good components.
“This is a 1954 Willy’s M38A1. It has a Buick V6 bolted to a Turbo 400 that in turn bolts to a Dana 300 transfer case. The V6 has Hedman headers and HEI ignition set up. This Jeep also has a brand new Hurst shifter set up. It sits on BFG 33-12.50/15 all terrain tires, all tires are in good shape. The front bumper is custom and has a built in tow bar, whoever buys it will be able to tow it away. This was a project that has stalled out. I don’t have room for it, nor the time to finish it. There is work that needs to be finished for it to run. This Jeep will make a good rock crawler platform”

“1948 WILLYS JEEP W/O TITLE. THIS JEEP WAS BEING USED FOR HUNTING AND TRAIL RIDING BEFORE TEENAGE BOYS RAN OVER A VIEW TO MANY TREES. HAS BEEN PARKED FOR OVER A YEAR BUT WAS BEING USED BEFORE I BELIEVE THE STARTER WIRE WAS NOCKED LOOSE.”

“1953 Willys, CJ 350 Chevy engine, SM420, Dana 18, 44 Rear-Detroit Locker, Warn Winch 8000 lb never used. Mickey Thompson Wheels and Tires 33, With Spare to match with custom rack on back. Custom front bumper to hold the winch. Brand new Chrome headers (not seen in pictures) Full Roll Bar, High Back front seats. First pictures shows when top was new and before headers were put on and without the diamond plate side and rear panels. (all have been installed since then.) Second pic. is without the full top at Lincoln Center Car show.

(03/14/2010) Here’s a good looking VEC with VIN 21131.
“1946 Willys Jeep CJ2a, serial number 21131, a very early civilian jeep with the column shift. PTO winch. Owned since 1965. Speedometer broke at 34000 miles. It has been stored in the shop or garage for many years. Starts and runs good, has leaky brake cylinder. tires are old, old.”

(03/17/2010) If you are gonna build a jeep rod, go all the way. This builder went farther than that. How about the hood ornament or the cutout star on the hood. Pretty unusual!
“This is a 1949 Willys CJ2-A that features- New frame and body from Willys Acres (Canada), Rebuild 134 Willys Jeep Motor & transmission, New brakes, starter, carb, alternator, clutch & drive shaft. Front 700 x 16 firestone military tires, new 16 x 4 wheels from coker tires, rear 820 x 15 firestone, 15 x 7.5 smoothy wheels from coker tires. wheels are powder coated red, chrome 30 Cal. Browning machine gun, 1957 chevy steering box”

Matt spotted this rare Crofton Bug for sale.
“Crofton Brawny Bug. This little mini jeep was manufactured by the Crofton motor company in 1959 about 250 were ever made, it features a crosley 4 cylinder engine and dual jeep transmissions, it has front bucket seat frames, good glass and electrical system all hard to find parts are there, ran when parked many years ago, is 100% complete with the exception of the belly pan and the original wheels, it has a crease on one side, easy fix and is rust free desert truck, easy resto on a rare little “bug” restored models sell for well over 20k is located in oregon.”
The seller will only list this for a week and will take the best cash offer.
“This is a 1948 WILLYS CJ2A JEEP . It is all origanal except for the seats. The coil has also been changed in the motor, other then that this Jeep is all origanal . Needs some TLC . Runs good it’s a driver . But does need the brakes gone through , it also needs a windshield. four wheel works good. The Jeep has Dana rear and front axels and transfer case . Transfer case is gear to gear . This Jeep has been appraised to obtain a bonded title . Because at this time the Jeep has no title . Oil was changed in the jeep just this week. Also has had a new starter relay switch and a ignition switch installed. I will only have the Jeep on here for ONE WEEK.. I will except best cash offer…..
