Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I just bought this Willys so I don’t know much about her other than she was stored inside since 1985 and needs some attention. I think she runs but haven’t checked due to no key or battery in her, she is missing both driveshafts and has some rust issues. I think she would be a perfect restore project for a Willys nut. I am selling all my vehicles so projects are going quick. Shoot an offer and come and see her and decide if she’s within your project realm. They are a nostalgic blast to drive, imagine a convertible 4 wheel drive sports car that wont go down in value, easy to wrench on and cheap to restore. Not a bad price. Carbs are cheap and easy to replace! That said, how exactly does one ‘crack’ a carb??? A block yes, but a carb? Maybe it’s the intake manifold?
