This is a ‘real nice’ ‘CJ-5’ that has no wheels. It needs seats. The exhaust manifold is cracked. It’s got the ‘factory’ 4 inch lift. Do you suppose this was parked on the hill before or after they took the wheels off?
“Hey. I’ve got this AMC Jeep CJ5 that i’m trying to get rid of cause my wife says ive got to many vehicals and she needs the money for her asthma medication. Its real nice has the odometer shows 83000 but i think it has rolled over about once. As you can see there arent any tires but wheels shouildnt be too hard and expensive to find. for an extra 400 bucks and can throw in set. Im not sure of the year cause i dont have the title but i know its got the AMC 258 inline six so that might narrow it down. My brother had it running last summer but we never drove it on the highway cause i put the rims and tires on my pickup. its got its small issues but since these are getting hard to find its a very good deal. needs seats. the exhaust manifold is cracked and i think it needs the carb cleaned. its got the factory 4 inch lift and the brakes work. Let me know if you want to come have a look at it.
thanks ray.”
This might be a good price, depending on what needs help.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000
“1949 Willys CJ3A Jeep with a clear Texas title in hand. The body is in great condition with little rust. The toolbox is solid and not rusted through. This was to be a restoration but I don’t have the time to complete it and I’m wanting it to go to a good home to be completed. It is a runner and can be driven. It has a long list done to it already and parts waiting to be installed … All new parts were purchased through Walcks4wd.com and the motor was rebuilt on March 3rd 2010. It is a driver and is in good shape. The transmission is in good shape. The transfer case has some slop in one of the levers but works fine. It’s at the point of needing disassembly, cleaning, painting and reassembly. This is a great restoration project and requires very little in new parts to complete it. I am asking $5000 negotiable. I have much more than that in it already. This really is a good deal.”
This sure looks good for the price.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $19,900.
It looks good from a distance. Not a 1951.
“I restored this 1951 Willys Military Jeep with M100 trailer to original condition. Many new parts; brakes, wheels, shocks, exhaust, glass, canvas, seats, new rebuilt engine, transmission, differential, paint, electrical, lights, fording equipment, etc. The jeep is registered and has a clear title. I won a trophy for the class at a local car show this past fall. I would like to sell the jeep and trailer as one unit for $19,900.”
UPDATE: **SOLD* Was $4500.
This looks nice and has a number of additional mods not listed, including the updated column, swing pedals, and more.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $14,000
(01/06/2010) “This is a rare 6 cylinder 1949 Willys Jeepster. The Jeepsters were constructed only from 1948 to 1950 and only made a limited number of the 6 cylinders starting in mid 1949. This particular car has been featured in an article in Open Road Magazine. The engine has recently been rebuilt and the rest of the car is almost fully restored. This car is a head turner. I can’t tell you the number of times someone has come up to me and asked what kind of a car this is and that they think it is one of the best looking cars on the road.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1300.
(12/17/09) It runs and apparently stops, too.

(12/09/09) It seems like there is something funky about that steering wheel, but I’m not sure what it is. The steps are missing and the back appears patched. It looks rust free.
