This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. There are a variety of updates on this jeep. I believe the grille and the body are from a MB or GPW.

The seller promises that when they bought it, they were told it ran …..
“Im selling my winter project. Its a 1955 Willys Pickup with 4×4. It has a twin stick transfer case to control front and rear axles independently. I have a clear title for the Willys. It does turn over and I was told it ran when I bought it in December but I have a lot of work right now and can’t let this sit around gathering dust. The gas tank needs repaired/ replaced and otherwise it should be a good runner. All glass is good, windows even roll up and down. Does have rust, came from North Carolina.”

Here’s a great old Jeep with a half top. Some nice solid rims, too.
“this is a nice cj2a that was restored at one time. has the l head 4 cylinder. body was sandblasted as was the frame. runs great, good brakes, headlights work on hi and low. tailights work, but dont think brake lights work. has 265x75x16 tires, and about a 3″ lift. have about $3800.00 in receipts from work done, rebuilt trans and transfer case. has a heater and good shape 1/2 cab soft top. needs some small things done. has rancho lift and shocks, full floating ww2 axle, 12volt system. solid floors, hat channels have been worked. clear colorado title in my name. asking $2999.00 before it goes to e-bay. e-mail or call #303-877-4083.”

I’ve got an East Coast buyer looking for a mechanically sound M-38 or early M-38a1 that looks good. The body doesn’t have to be museum quality (there can be some minor dents for example), but it should look like a military vehicle. The price range is $8000 – $11000.
